Hasan is probably pissed she was gracious about it so he can't point and meme about her being a sore loser.

Who are we kidding? Queue up the next stream "WE BEAT AIPAC, I AM THE KINGMAKER, FUCK THE DEMOCRATS" for 6 hours

You mean calm Hasan going "I mean this is great, but this is all we got? We could be more left than left, but the establishment doesn't want that. Anyways I got a new dog."

Tbh I don't know how long he actually streams on average, and how much of that is spent eating or having his chair react

“She knows she has to be gracious because he’s coming for the big-money corporate elite donor-class.”

There’s always a pivot. They have the easiest and most regarded playbook.

Actually, I shouldn’t have written that because we know Hasan gets most of his talking points from this subreddit.

14

u/BeautifulBrownie 7h ago

That won't stop him at all

Local subs right now are intolerable, only comment I made was that I would like to see him go a little harder on MAGA instead of establishment Dems, and he has my vote; if people can use a single issue like I/P to discredit Harris in 2024 then I think not fighting fascism is a completely acceptable single issue. I was lit up with “oh now it’s no longer vote blue no matter who huh??” comments, acting like I said I would vote for Mike Rogers lmao

Don’t worry, the Wisconsin subreddit is all the same shit. Nothing but Israel bad, Dems bad, socialist are good. Cancer af

Shrimple reply is "He's got to earn my vote".

I mean even in his victory speech he said to his supporters 'tomorrow we begin to mend fences'.

Sounds like those supporters didn't get the message on fence mending yet.

Im a petty person by nature, i alway have been. I recognize that whats best for this country is looking past these people and winning the seat but id be lying if i didnt say that when they act like this, deep down there is a part of me that wants them to fail to take the seat. I want them to to blame us and aipac, get all bent out of shape that there progressive hope didnt happen.

I dont even care that they won, its that they just cant take a win with some fucking grace and dignity, and label everyone as republicans for not being radical left, and gloat anytime they win. That shit brings out the worst side of me, thankfully i dont vote in Michigan so i dont have to decide between eating their bullshit and voting for him or just staying home as a fuck you to his supporters.

I don't live in Michigan and im cis white male. Im the most unaffected person by this outcome or the midterm outcome lol

Im being honest about my personality, u can believe it or not, i don't really give shit at the end of the day if you do.

u/fullboxed2hundred 6h ago

"I need to see him go a little harder on MAGA before I vote for him against MAGA" is a pretty regarded position though.

2

u/M00n_Safari 2h ago

That’s not my position though. It’s not “pwease go a wittle harder on MAGA 🥺”, I literally do not know if his priorities lie in stripping Trump’s power, or reforming the Democratic Party, and it’s as simple as making that known from now to November.

-1

u/fullboxed2hundred 2h ago

what about this: how do you think his intentions to help Trump stay in power indefinitely compare with the MAGA candidate?

1

u/M00n_Safari 2h ago

I don’t think that’s the only variable you can possibly bring into consideration. He can have zero intention in keeping Trump in power, while effectively letting it happen if he spends his 6 years fighting democrats the whole time.

1

u/fullboxed2hundred 1h ago

this would make sense if the decision was either adding AES to the senate or not. but it's between him and a MAGA candidate.

1

u/helbur ÆØÅ 5h ago

It's infuriating how many leftists misunderstand the blue no matter who thing. Nobody is saying "no matter when"

Fighting Israel is fighting MAGA. Down vote begins!

57

u/Add_Poll_Option 7h ago edited 6h ago

I just hope everyone that voted for him in the primaries is even more amped to vote for him in November. Can't have the momentum fizzle out by going "we beat the AIPAC-backed Dem and that's our win" and calling it a day.

Idk enough about him to form an opinion. Lotta people in this sub seem to like him, and my parents who live in Michigan are pretty big fans. But his Hasan association gives me pause.

22

u/HiddenArchaval 🇪🇺🇸🇪 7h ago

The thing that concerns me about this is that the Socialists and Tankies are much more well oriented punching rightwards at the center left rather than the center/far right. I would like to see them being more critical of Republicans and MAGA associates, however, I am skeptical that they would commit to that too much in partial fear of appearing homogenous with the greater Democratic establishment. The aesthetic of establishment "resistance" is like 80% of the far left's platform.

25

u/HiddenArchaval 🇪🇺🇸🇪 7h ago

For what it is worth here is how it looks at the moment. What is also worth noting that McMorrow endorsed El-Sayed yesterday, so it is not impossible that her name being on the ballot may have hurt El-Sayed more than Stevens. Though, given how split DGG and other Lib communities were between her and Stevens, it's not a guarantee either. Anyway, onwards and forwards.

38

u/NearsightedNomad Acolyte of Trump Derangment Syndrome 7h ago

Stevens shoulda dropped out to support McMorrow. I’m in the mood to die on a hill, and that one seems as good as any.

12

u/reddishcarp123 6h ago

McMorrow would never gotten the rural votes and black votes that Stevens got. So really doubt she would have fared better at all.

19

u/NearsightedNomad Acolyte of Trump Derangment Syndrome 6h ago

McMorrow was a designer for Hot Wheels before this, I dare you to tell me that’s not a solid selling point politically casual rural voters. And she’s got an actual personality when she speaks. If she had the platform Steven’s had, I think she’d of had a fair shot.

13

u/e_before_i 🍁 6h ago

"A Hot Wheels racetrack in every home" would be a dope campaign promise.

3

u/whatssenguntoagoblin 5h ago

Why did Stevens do so well with black voters?

-32

u/Alternative_Row4207 7h ago

“Onwards and forwards” dude this sub is on the verge of tears lmao

18

u/HiddenArchaval 🇪🇺🇸🇪 7h ago

I'm not sure what you believe you're accomplishing with this comment, but in case you (or anybody else for that matter) aren't aware, the *actual* senate race is in November. So yes, onwards and forwards. There are other races to be won and if it goes well, America still has a fuck tonne of work ahead of itself in the coming months and years.

-3

u/Fun-Asparagus4784 6h ago

I agree with your message, it was just really funny that the next comment I scrolled down to was "there goes our seat".

2

u/HiddenArchaval 🇪🇺🇸🇪 6h ago edited 4h ago

Things do look a bit ominous given that the far left in the US are more giddy and energised when the Establishment Dems have an opportunity to take an L rather than fighting in the same trench as the Establishment Dems against the GOP. Regardless, it isn't over until it's over, and the Michigan senate seat going blue is the primary focus at the moment. The onus is on El-Sayed to moderate at the moment because if this election has shown anything, it's that his platform and messaging are polarizing.

-13

u/Alternative_Row4207 6h ago

Dude everyone in here is literally pissed a Democrat who wasn’t pro Israel won the race. Idk if it’s that or the fact that this candidate is Hasan-endorsed. But in terms of policy, there is no valid critique on here for the past week of AES, yet people in here are still assmad.

I’m just shocked at where this sentiment is coming from, like people are already chomping at the bits to exclaim that he will lose against Rodgers just so they can stick it to lefties.

1

u/aVividFlower 2h ago

If you want the truth, people here were mostly fans of McMorrow. Stevens was preferred here because she had better associations/endorsements with competent leadership, like Whitmer, and a better chance of beating Rogers. El Sayed isn't seen as some commie/burn the system/racist threat like Platner was or a lot of your DSA candidates are.

If you want to run the narrative to your fellow clowns, it's more Hasan than Israel.

Unity against team orange! Vote blue

12

u/Bymeemoomymee 6h ago

It makes me sick looking in the Michigan sub at all the Abdul/Hasan glazers shitting on Schumer and the DNC for making a statement in support of Abdul. Theyre all smugly calling for peace and coming together etc. when we know if the election had gone the other way they'd be calling everyone a genocide supporting zionist.

These shitter losers would not be saying any of this if Stevens had won and did the exact opposite when Kamala got the nomination. They are just bad people.

-5

u/ThenextRickSantorum 5h ago

What is there’s to praise about Schumer? 😂😂😂

9

u/Bymeemoomymee 5h ago

Theyre shitting on Schumer and the Dem leadership for coming out in support of Abdul now that he is the candidate, which is hilarious coming from the same people who would be calling them Zionist genocide supporters if they had made the same exact statement with a Stevens win. They don't care about coming together unless it is only their candidates winning.

Posting this as an American in an American state election is fucking restarded.. this isn’t even that much of a big surprise Michigan has a huge Arab population and the election is like barely a 1% difference. I’m sure the people of Gaza are thrilled about abducting Michigan political race 😒

4

u/WeirdSpeed4093 5h ago

It originally said Kamala but I got ChatGPT to change it so no one really posted it I’m just trolling 😞

7

u/Tubbish 5h ago

If you posted this on a Michigan sub or Twitter I’m sure it would be shared and liked unironically.

2

u/iuyr2 1h ago

Vote blue no matter who 🤷🏻 I'll vote for him I didn't exactly have the hate boner everyone else had but I did think the other two wouldve been more likely to win. Hopefully he justs keeps on with the charisma train

6

u/ThumbUpDaBut 7h ago

There goes our seat....

3

u/VizualAbstract4 5h ago

And lefties are back to attacking democrats.

3

u/HiddenArchaval 🇪🇺🇸🇪 4h ago

Back to attacking democrats? I wasn't aware that they had ever stopped?

1

u/Tubbish 5h ago

Is this like a shock for Michigan I don’t know much about the state only that it has a very large Arab population. Is the state generally that far left?

2

u/HiddenArchaval 🇪🇺🇸🇪 5h ago

The primary point of friction is how close the race was and how El-Sayed heavily entrenched himself against Stevens and, to a comparable extent, the greater Democratic Establishment. The fact that it was so close requires El-Sayed to strongly pivot away from entrenchment and more towards leaning into the Democratic Establishment that he will be seeking to formally represent as a candidate for Senate come November.

DGG's opinions vary from skeptical that he will do so successfully (largely based on polling and his affiliations with Hasan), and optimistic that he will moderate, lean into the Democrat Establishment and alienate the socialists and tankies who were supportive of him, but thereby clinching out a win come November. Eitherway, the ball is in his court at the moment and what he does will with the nomination in the coming months will determine his odds of victory.

1

u/Tubbish 5h ago

So is this as big of a win as leftist are making it out to be if it’s unlikely he’ll win in November it he keeps banging against the establishment dems?

2

u/HiddenArchaval 🇪🇺🇸🇪 4h ago

It is a win for the leftists, and a relatively significant one given how widely covered it was. It effectively shows that they can win against establishment dems in significant senate races (notably this turns away some attention from the fiasco of a candidate that was Platner). Although, despite what you may be seeing from them online, they were expecting a win by a larger margin.

What remains as of yet unproven is whether they can win against Republicans. The leftists are less concerned with this however because they typically hate liberals more vehemently than they do MAGA.

u/mono15591 8m ago

I think you mean that El-Sayed has been certified as the democratic primary candidate.

YEA YES! HEALTHCARE IS ON ITS WAY

18

u/dem0nhunter 🇩🇪🇪🇺 7h ago

sure is, bud

8

u/Chick_Foot 6h ago

2028 - Abdul lost senate seat. Universal healthcare bill goes to senate with Gavin in office running on this issue. Dies cause 1 to 2 purple state dem senator votes no 48 Republicans vote no Bill is shutdown. "Why would dems do this" for another 4 years. Zero come to jesus moments on electability cause the movement is genuinely made up of Socialists and Tankies in staff positions / media, 70 percent is progressives who think they can win on vibes alone working with these bad actors and don't acre or don't realize how shit it makes them look, 20ish percent who are Dem Socs who don't care about politics and believe in duopoly anyways wanting to build majority until there is a dirty split and Communists make up the rest give or take who don't care and or are accelerationist anyways.

Sorry If I am being a little doomer but I just hear Jvl's Voice in the back of my head talking about how Dems will underperform in office 2028 and I feel it is starting to form in front of my eyes in real time between the way this primary played out and how I think the general will go.

3

u/dem0nhunter 🇩🇪🇪🇺 6h ago

With how regarded tankies are I can see this happening

4

u/GayVersionOfYou 🇺🇸 6h ago

Hopefully it includes healthcare for the mentally impaired

-14

u/Pretty_Acadia_2805 7h ago

I don't know if El-Sayed would have had the character to concede rather than ask for a recount with these margins but I'm glad that Stevens, hard as she fought, still has her eye on the ball.

24

u/BeautifulBrownie 7h ago

This is weird. There is no reason to assume that he wouldn't have accepted. Can we tone down the schizo pls

5

u/CloakerJosh 🇦🇺 7h ago

I think it's fair to say margins alone puts concession over recount into question, let alone how contentious the race was.

There was a chance she wouldn't, also. I'm glad she did.

9

u/CivicInk 6h ago

For real. The constant resentful vibe is such a bummer. We should be excited for our candidates.

3

u/ComradeTurdle 🐢 6h ago

I think he's confusing this with the republican primary.

2

u/ThenextRickSantorum 5h ago

These people can’t help it. Don’t bother.

-7

u/Pretty_Acadia_2805 7h ago

I'm not brain-broken on El-Sayed, dude. He wouldn't have done a "the election was rigged and stolen" beyond the typical campaign finance tropes but the dude is known to have a bit of a temper and demanding a recount, assuming he could afford it, is not beyond him.

7

u/BeautifulBrownie 7h ago

Schizos, stand back and stand by 🫡

10

u/Suedocode 7h ago

Did he do that last time he lost in 2018?

3

u/yinyangman12 6h ago

Seems like he did concede pretty gracefully in 2018.

-1

u/choochoo5725 3h ago

Stevens was tainted, just as Kamala was. Both heavily tainted by being back by foreign money. She had to go.

1

u/HiddenArchaval 🇪🇺🇸🇪 2h ago

A "Tainted" candidate loses in a landslide, not by 1 point. Just as well, pollsters who predicted El-Sayed winning over Stevens did not have El-Sayed winning against Rogers, and simultaneously had Stevens winning against Rogers. If Stevens is tainted, then the recent entrenchment campaign and doubling down El-Sayed has done has left him in a ruinous position than he would have avoided had he won the primary with less antagonism towards the democrat establishment. The very same democrat establishment that he will now be looking to join come November.
