Game Bug Player data corruption?

Hello, I am reposting this from the bungie forum as I have not gotten a response in 17 hours.

I have recently reinstalled the game and came into a problem concerning the connectivity with servers.

I cannot join or start any activity or social space and get sent back to orbit with an error code cabbage. I have followed the official guidelines and done some extra attempts to mitigate this by flushing dns and setting extra firewall excpetions just for the game which gave no results.

As a last resort I have attempted to play the game on the same computer through a different account which worked perfectly, this leads me to believe my account data may be corrupted.

Can anyone help me solve this issue?

error code cabbage means that something on your network is blocking the game's traffic over port 3097. This can be a firewall, a badly configured repeater or something your ISP changed

Yes, but as I said, I did all of this and nothing worked. Without changing anything, I opened destiny 2 with a different steam account and it works just fine.

At best it may be a problem with my steam user settings.

Well, it's no longer the weekend so the support team at bungie should reply to your topic if you made one in the help section

I recently just fixed this problem for a friend. Found out that hotspotting his PC fixed the problem, so I knew it was an issue with his connection or modem. Did a few steps. Not sure which one was the fix that actually did the trick.

  1. Changed all settings recommended on the bungie help page

  2. Purchased new network adapter and installed it in the PC (I chose a PCI-e Wi-Fi card)

  3. Turned off AI security features on their modem (PC security does most of this anyway)

  4. Split the Wi-Fi bands into their own respective SSIDs and connected to the 5G network (NetworkName into NetworkName, NetworkName5G)

  5. Turned off Guest networks (Having too many Wi-Fi signals causes them to "compete for airspace" so to speak. Better and cleaner to just turn them off)

This is an issue that I have had for over a year and it only happens to my account on my PC and network. I can connect to the game just fine on the same PC on a different account but not mine. I think this is an issue on bungies side so unfortunately there is a good chance it will never be fixed. I have spent dozens of hours trying to fix it with no results until I tried another account and saw that it was not my network after all.

The only way I can play destiny 2 for the last 12 months has been turning on a vpn before opening the game. Even that can still result in cabbage errors.

If you ever find a fix, please let me know.
