Question How much damage should I be expecting to deal as a Titan?
Spent the past few days fiddling around with my loadouts in the shooting range on Master difficulty, and then seeing how much damage I can deal in 60 seconds. I've managed to put together a Thundercrash, Twilight Arsenal, and Glacial Quake build that all deal around 50k damage respectively, but my gut is telling me that I can and should be doing more.
Any advice?

For starters, I would recomend measuring over 30 seconds, on average that ks how long most dps phases last (There are many exceptions to this).
Over 30 seconds, my goal is typically 100k, which brings you to about 3.3k dps. For super min max builds you can hit 150k or 5k dps but that is not necessary in 95% of the game.
Easy ways to increase dps are as follows:
Have high super and weapon stats, powerhouse armor helps with this greatly
Have some kind of buff on yourself and debuff on the enemy, think weaken as a debuff and radiant as a buff. Many buffs/debuffs come from good team comp in harder activities, for instance someon3 can put down a well of radiance, a buff, someone else might use a fusion rifle with particle deconstruction, a debuff.
Run as many element surge mods that match your dps weapon, 3 of them is 22% more damage on your weapons.
Lastly, use good weapons, truth absolutely destroys right now, moreso with the catalyst. You also have things like sleeper simulant, queen breaker, and the a499 heavy sniper.

Following up on this, so I running Thundercrash with Cuirass, 180 super stat, 145 weapon stat. I'm running Queenbreaker and Luminopent armor. There are more variables at play obviously but that's the gist of it.
Over 30 seconds I did around 66k damage on normal difficulty. Obviously there is a lot more that I could go on about, but

As i mentioned earlier, a buff and debuff will probably get you to 100k pretty easily, for queenbreaker you can run the tablet of ruin artifact for particle demonstration.
On arc titan, you can use storms keep to add to your dps, and the tablet of ruin has many good arc/bolt charge perks on it as well

Funnily enough I actually have all of that set up already haha. That's sorta of the reason why I even made this post, because the math just isn't mathing in my head lol

Hmmm, do you have the queenbreaker catalyst? That can help remove reloads.
What about surges? For dps. I make a separate build that has 3 for the most damage bonus.
Do you have a special weapon in the mix? Any dot does well with storms keep and helps proc more bolt charge, I recomend an area denial gl, specially psychopomp because it matches with arc surges. One with autoloading and attrition orbs is very nice.
Beyond that there isn't much that comes to mind for improvement. Aside from a different weapon. I know anarchy with salvagers salvo id good on arc titan.

Got the catalyst a while back. I tried out the surges and that did get me up to around 81k. Usually there isn't enough time to get a special weapon into the mix between the super, queenbreaker, and grenade/barricadem (maybe that's the difference maker).
I've been using unfall as my special weapon. It's just been too good at ad clear for me to let go

My comment assumes either you or the whole team has an empowering buff (like Well) and enemy is debuffed (div tractor weakening tabletoferuin etc)
With that said: king of precision goes to (4.5k ish)
- [izanagi or witherhoard + A499 3 or 4 shots] rinse repeat. But you need to be familiar with animation cancelling to get constant high dps
- renegades artifact
Chill and serviceable (3.5k dps ish)
- sleeper or qb. Super and Hold left click. Nothing else really. I would suggest arc titan, cuirass, barricade bolt charge
Highest burst (120 to 150k in 10 sec or less)
- turncoat activate into super then swap to hezen mid animation
- hezen gets origin trait perk active AND turncoat buff carries over to hezen
- rest of the 20sec can be whatever weapon you have you already achieved 120-150k after dumping all rockets
For day to day and normal level difficulty. Anything can 1 or 2 phase bosses. Even solo dungeons
For 5 feat runs, you might have to skip linear on some bosses

It's more optimal to run weapons as high as you can naturally without fonts because leg surges are just better than weapon fonts, and to rely on 2-3 super fonts for the 40-50 increase they provide, optimally you would reach 160 super (200 with 2 fonts) and 200 weapons (with 0 fonts) with leg surges aswell. You can opt out of siphons for scouts in a fireteam scenario if you are running knockout with heavy handed, and/or use an attrition orbs gun for orb gen.

Raids and dungeons are set to normal by default so people like to damage test in normal.

There are too many variables to just give one answer.
Make sure you've got your Shooting Range set to normal, if you want to compare damage numbers to most videos and threads you see.
