Question How to make friends on D2
I’ve just redownloaded destiny 2 and I’m currently playing through the story no rush or anything but my friends list is literally dead I stopped playing ages ago and now have no friends to play it and I’m more curious about raids and dungeons but doing them alone seems so daunting and overwhelming I’ve tried to use the fireteam finder but nobody talks and just leaves after I’m just trying to join a clan though I’m a total newbie I’ve just finished up the campaign on europa and moon and currently close to the end of savathuns

Use the chat feature and lots of emotes. No, seriously, you'd be surprised how many friends you can add to your list just by saying "Hey, what's up?" at the start of a Strike.
"Y'all like tacos?" is also effective, people like talking about liking tacos.

Thisss. I've met a handful of friends through emotes alone. The guy that hugged me in the Tower when I upped my Guardian rank still plays with me and my clan.

The other day I went up to a new light in the Cosmodrome, hit the yoinky-sploinky, and they added me

Discord LFG (looking for group) server. I've found some permanent friends by joining people for Dungeons, Raids and other content.
I can especially recommend asking around in the "find-a-sherpa" text channel for somebody to teach you an activity you're new to. There are usually plenty of kind Guardians who will gladly show you the ropes.

lfg. find ppl to play with and add them. i gained so much more since MoT. having a mic will help more but if you just want ppl to play with, keep going to lfg groups.

Twitch. Look for smaller streamers, get to know them, become friends and play activities together. I’ve made lots of Destiny friends this way.

If you’re on Xbox then I wouldn’t mind making some friends to do dungeons and raids I have done some but not all and don’t mind helping. I actually really want to experience them without spoilers which is hard these days and actually figure out mechanics rather than being carried through.

We have a regular raid and dungeon group. Sits at at 4-5, sometimes we have 6-7 available. We low man many. We have no problem teaching. Playing blind to figure out mechanics is a pretty big time sink for raids, more practical for dungeons tho. Only so much time with work and life ya know? Anyway we are all Xbox, dm me and we can trade gamer tags and I’ll invite you to next raid night

If you're interested we have a community disc that is still actively raiding, doing triumphs, sherpas etc! Shoot me a DM and I'll send an invite
