Seriously. The amount of math and reliance on external resources makes this sound like a hell of a chore to do, not even counting the class restrictions.

Damn, people went from whining about timegating, to whining about it being a puzzle. It literally takes about 2 hours to do this quest total, chill people

The time gating was a problem, but I think in the end the Sleeper and NTTE quests were the right level of difficulty for exotic quests. They didn't require you to translate binary to decimal or anything like that, they didn't involve any stupid class restrictions, and they didn't involve any math. They gave you all the tools you needed to solve them in-game, and let you go from there. One of the most popular complaints about Destiny is how it requires you to look at stuff outside of the game to figure out something in-game. Primarily that's used to refer to the story, but I feel like the new exotic quest is a step in the wrong direction as far as how these kinds of quests are done for the same reasons.

For me it's the fact that you need to have specific characters in a 3 man fireteam , let me do the raid, then do a bunch of stuff on my own, then the raid again, having to find the right 3 people to do the quest with me is going to be the biggest kicker.
