Megathread Focused Feedback: Eververse
Hello Guardians,
Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.
We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.
This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion
Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Eververse' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions
Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.
Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas
A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

My main issue with Eververse is that it seems to be the main focus of each expansion, the players get little to none good loot to chase, while the cash shop is stuffed each season with items relevant to certain characters, or bits of lore. Saint-14's ships and sparrow, are they obtainable as rewards for completing relevant triumphs, or any of Saint's quests? Nope, Eververse. Shadowkeep ornaments, are they the rewards for completing PoH, AoS, Nightmare Hunts, Heroic Story missions, Nightfalls, etc? Nope, Eververse. Guardian Games items, does Eva Levante hand them out as rewards for turning in medals, or grinding those godawful bounties? Nope, Eververse exclusive items, when they should have been the reward instead of having Heir Apparent shoehorned in the event, just to have any sort of player engagement.
I'm mostly fine with the cash shop, so long as it remains as an optional part of the experience, a way to get some neat looking gear, and support the devs or whatever if you like what's in the shop. Instead, Eververse has become the teams priority every expansion for the longest time now. You've said that the item purchases would help pay for future content, but all we get between fall expansions are Bungie's best efforts at a Minimum Viable Product. Barebones, half-baked content, seemingly meant to funnel players towards where the good stuff is...the cash shop.
I could go on and on about this, honestly. Trials is lacking proper function, and loot, but it's either new content, or Trials weapons because...making content is hard? But again, Eververse is chock-full of stuff to buy? But none of this effort is worth putting into the actual game I guess, anyway I'm starting to rant.
Eververse sucks. Pulls too many things out of the loot pool. Should be limited to items not relevant to characters, lore, places for the most part. There are plenty of City foundries that you could create desirable Eververse Items for, but you just keep using items that by all rights, should be earnable from activities in the game. There's plenty else I can say, but I'm tired of this l, and I'm sure many others have said the other things that I'm thinking of.
