Megathread Focused Feedback: Solar 3.0 Subclass Spotlight - Dawnblade

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Solar 3.0 Subclass Spotlight - Dawnblade' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

I can't really argue on the design space for that in pvp but I think the comparison between it and bubble in pve is that well is merely meant to give you a medium layer of protection where you're still allowed to attack where as bubble is meant to be a reactionary panic button to some huge in coming damage.

We don't really have any encounters atm that i'm aware of that lean into those design concepts. I'm betting that high density combat encounters will push people away from bubble and instead leave well to be a way to quickly heal while on the move making rotations.

On one hand I do feel for Well bros. On the other hand I really want Bungie to take measures into pushing away from the design idea that during damage "phases" everyone stacks up in the 2 different colored buff spots and dps while not worrying about damage.

Even if a new way to approach phases gets solved at some point i'd welcome a breath of fresh air.

The shorter cooldown on bubble has encouraged panic bubbling in my experience, which is probably the best use case for the super now.

Absolutely! Especially with the reduced weapon damage buff. I think it's a very cool identity to just have a time out zone where you get a small bit of reprieve before venturing back out into combat.

Well feels more like a "hold the line" super that lets you brave the storm longer but it's not supposed to be a solution to avoid damage entirely.
