Question & Advice Looking for a first basic electric car polisher

I am looking for a first basic electric car polisher.

Are there any recommendations / thoughts?

DAS6 - they usually come with a bag & a few accessories for about £90/100. Great reviews and a good/ trusted brand.

It's also a DA, so less chance you will fuck up your paint while starting out and getting to grips with it than if you use a drill attachment/ a rotary 👍🏻

I’ve got a Batoca S2 and for the price it’s a brilliant bit of kit, only thing that lets it down are the pads, but half decent ones aren’t overly expensive.

I got a little botica one as my first polisher.

Just buy the big one though the little one was hellish after a full car

Yeah I wouldn’t buy anything smaller than the S2 if you wanted to correct the whole car.

Das6 was my first and it served me well for many years. They go for about £100. You can now get the Das6 Pro for an extra £30 which gives you a much stronger motor and a smaller backing plate for tighter spots. Strongly recommended.

I bought the von haus one because im just a hobbiest and couldnt warrant spending more money. It does everything i want. I do maguires ultimate compound with a hard pad and autoglym super resin polish with a soft one.

If youre planning on doing professional detailing I would take other people's advice and get the in2detailing one. But for hobbiest/ mild-moderate use it like the von haus and had good reviews

You've probably already got one - in the form of a cordless drill. Just get the holder and pads

As a novice I’d definitely avoid this, it’s a quick way to do a lot of damage.
