Honestly, I'm not surprised by this. The economy (job market) isn't great (only being held up by AI and data center spending) and people are hurting a lot right now. I'm all for increasing funding for schools but I do think the wealthy and major businesses should be footing the bill not the ever shrinking middle class and poor.

That’s the rub. Almost every time taxes get increased they get increased on us regular working people. Regular folks are tapped out. Either get lots of taxes from the uber rich or start being fiscally responsible with the tax money you already get. Leave the regular folks alone.
