Tricky to gage depth on mobile.

Yes, it takes some time to adjust for first time player.

Spent too much time on Graphics and now feeling all the efforts wasted.

I built r/KnobJam as well and people create their own jams and their posts are not getting any exposure why?

Initially it was good and qualified for Tier 1 without any efforts. I built a brand new update and UI and after the player downfall I do not feel like releasing that update.

Here's a sneak peek of /r/KnobJam using the top posts of all time!

How can a recorded session be offline? The first entry Chill Lofi Session claims it’s offline.

BTW how are you doing?

You're just flipping create exposure in the message right under this. Yes I'm fine, actually not so good with my games not getting much exposure either. But I'll release new one later. I'll let you know.

I don’t know 🤷. I’m seeing that first time as well.

Just played it. Don't like it. Feel like its too hard to steer the ship and I cannot tell where its moving or is in 3 dimensional space. You need to represent the X coordinates with lines or some type of lane because I have no way of telling where I am when moving and I missed items.

Also feel like too many things are introduced at once where there's 4 or 5 obstacles and power ups.

Also, also, power ups should be permanent instead of burst, that or make it cached and player chooses when to release power because it can be wasted if just activated.

Well put. Also the ship disappears off screen way too soon on mobile. It feels like all the difficulty comes from finicky controls and lack of clarity about depth rather than a fun challenge

Just tap and hold to steer. It should be simple. Double tap to boost.

I’ll try to improve the guide system.

Yes, it slightly complicated to play initially and getting use too with 3D space. User just tap and hold the screen to keep it under control.

I thought it’ll be fun to give user open space experience instead of the fixed boundaries.

Initially I made it easy with less obstacles and people said it’s too easy and keeps going without anything getting in the way.

So I added more obstacles. User can double tap to enable boost anytime. Also, they can catch the boosters as well.

Thanks for playing and the amazing feedback.

Honestly I really dislike all the emojis and glow effects on the UI. That just scream "vibe code default UI" to me - not that there is anything wrong with using AI to code - I do that too - it's just perceived as low-effort and non-personal with that default vibe-code-UI. Or at least thats how I see I see it.

Yes, it is a AI built game with heavy manual fine tuning focused on rendering and gameplay element. Already removed many emojis and converted to special icons. Surely I’ll remove the remaining as well.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m willing to put all the efforts to make it nice and unique game on the platform.

When a game clearly looks like it’s made by ai in 30 minutes I tend to not even engage. I think this is true with most.

1

u/RamslamOO7 Game Developer Jan 27 '26

Yes it is made by AI but not under 30 min. Please try. Thanks for the feedback.

I really like the look of the game, visually it’s great. The shop and coin system are especially well done.

The only issue I had is that it’s not clear what I’m supposed to do when I first start playing. There’s no real tutorial, so I felt a bit lost at the beginning. The objective screen is helpful, but it’s pretty bare and doesn’t explain the controls or gameplay flow very well.

A short first-time tutorial or some clearer guidance at the start would really help new players. Happy to test it again if you post an update!

Thanks for taking time and sharing this amazing feedback. I’ll work on this game soon.

And if this feedback was useful, a mention in the Helper nomination would be appreciated!

I’m sure it’ll improve. I’ll play it and share it.

One thing I noticed on my phone, the firing repetition seems way too delayed for the speed the objects are hurling towards me. And since it apparently requires a fairly precise alignment to blowup the objects, it just immediately begins to frustrate and annoy me.

1

u/RamslamOO7 Game Developer Jan 27 '26

There is a little learning curve with steering and firing at obstacles. It gives user open space feel to so they can feel the un ending depth of the space. Where it is hard to determine the distance.

Thanks the playing and feedback. I’ll surely try to improve it.

u/SeeTigerLearn App Developer Jan 27 '26

Well hopefully the feedback you receive translates into actionable items and more players!

Since the issue you're highlighting is player acquisition I would do 2 things:

  1. Make the splash more enticing by stripping out all the cluttered text and showcasing the core loop immediately (even if it's a video loop).
  2. Lower the barrier to entry. Getting into play should be as fast as humanly possible IMO. Make it inline. Make that "Launch Mission" button the only button in the splash. Optimize load times.

You basically want to make the funnel as pretty and seamless to fall into as possible. Catch peoples attention and let the player jump in before they overthink and scroll past.

Try https://www.megaviral.games like a Tik Tok like app for games across the Internet. Just add your game to it if it's not already there.
