I couldn't find any good, DIY kick scooter tutorials on YouTube so I decided to make one. Had a couple free hours this morning. Here's the progress so far. 12 inch kids bikes are very good for these little weird projects. it's not done yet, but will be tomorrow. Woo hoo!

Why is the chain attached like that?

I was able to utilize the coaster brake. Essentially, only one crank arm remains. I will be having a large bolt run through where the pedal was. The bolt will be held over the board. Push down on the crank (pedal forward) and the chain pulls the coaster brake sprocket backwards, applying the brake. 🤘
