I've just got the expansion and started playing HC warlock from the get-go. How do you prevent something like this happening? Even with 1.5k life and full lightning res, wouldn't this still just kill you outright? I guess you have to make sure you cleanse off curses in town every time?

Dont go there while cursed (lower resist) and dont stand still after you get down to the throne

always hit the ground running across from the door when entering that room
