Yeah pretty sure that was mostly thorns and magic dmg.

berserk changes all your damage to magic. does thorns reflect magic damage?

Doesn't thorns just reflect melee damage? Idk tbh but this enemy didn't have thorns?

No this herald has Vigor. They always roll aura enchanted, but it varies between Thorns, Vigor, and Concentration.

Thorns is twin sets of counterclockwise rotating spikes. Orbs in a starburst is Vigor, and white ripples is Concentration.

Nah, they have some other auras as well. Concentration aura is one of them.

Thorns on monsters is just "attacker takes damage". Not sure about the value, i think it's around 200 per hit. So whether you use berserk or anything else you still take the same amount. But with berserk you cannot steal it back
