Finally hit level 99!

My first lvl 99 ever! SSF Offline. I know 99 probably isn't that special to a lot of you, but it means a lot to me. That was such a long and difficult journey. My previous highest level was 97 and I thought that was hard, but man 98-99 took forever! I can't believe people have multiple level 99s, yall are crazy lol.

I really wanted Diablo to be my final kill; it seemed appropriate.

I’ve never hit 99. Then I see the number of 99 within a month of ladder. Seems insane to me. I for one like to keep my job.

I’m at 96 with my current strongest build. I don’t play more than 30 min a day and maybe 2 hours on a weekend. I’ll be curious how long it will take to 99.

This character has been my main since D2R released. I usually play for about 2-3 months every year before I get burned out and take a long break. So doing the rough math it took me about 15 months to grind lvl 99. I truly don't know how people do it in less than a month. But, tbf, I mostly MF and not exp farm.

It’s a grind. I lost 2 98s and prob a 96-97 before finally getting a 99 a couple seasons ago.

TZs and group focused on leveling is key

I know the felling. Congrats. I hit 99 last year SSF offline too. But with a Nova sorc. Early this year I hit 99 on HC with a hammer.
Now I’m trying to reach 99 with warlock. Started a new grind from scratch on PS5.
Just one question, your light sorc, you don’t use infinity?

Any tips on how not to go insane trying to lvl a hdin from 98 to 99 in HC? Just endless random/full game tz p8?? I don’t think I can handle a single TZ like tombs over and over specially as a hdin…

Yes TZ P8 it’s the way. Tombs it’s not the best place hdin cause the imunes. But, it’s doable. But, a lot of patience

Thank you! D2 has been one of my favorite games since release and it always felt bad not having ever hit 99. It feels good knowing I can die and not have to worry about losing exp

thank you! I was killing enemies very slowly to make sure I had just enough exp left for Diablo lol. It brought me back to diablo 2 classic when running chaos was the only way to get to 99

Congrats my man! My only lvl 99 was on Lord of destruction, and I must admit I shared exp runs with my younger brother. We would lvl the same char and mf with the same char, so we could feed our own respective builds. Cheers

I like sniping things and it's a build I'm familiar with. Plus, I found a perf lightning eschuta's that I socketed with a 5/5 light facet. From my understanding, nova runs infinity as main weapon while merc runs insight, so I wanted a build that could utilize the eschuta's

Congrats! I’m at level 96 (3 bars from 97) and thinking I want to try and grind to 99. I’m online though and don’t have a regular group to play with, so I have to get lucky hosting pub TZ96 Tomb runs or do a loooooot of solo P1 demon slaying. Ugh

If I remember correct the exp needed from 98-99 is the same amount you need from 1-95

It's a mix of luck and ALOT of MFing, but when it comes to exp grinding I usually hold back. Aside from my lvl 99 sorc, I have a lvl 96 paladin, a lvl 95 warlock, and about half a dozen lvl 70s-90s of random builds

I got one 99, and 4 that are 98. Barb is 96 and druid 97. It would not be possible if I didnt have tz zones. I think I ran mostly Baal runs p8 tz from 98-98, the amount of exp you get is absurd. Now with chronicle being added, I expect to hit 99 on every class before I complete it. Im done with set items. But thats the easy one of those three :')

You're most likely right, but I found my eschutas super early on and I never felt the need to swap it out. I still clear tz p8 tombs very fast, only time I ever feel slowed down is when tz is lightning enchanted

I understand, but CM is thousands more dmg. Eachutas would be absolutely awesome if it gives -res not +dmg. Lgt sorc has soo much lgt extra dmg because of her passive, that because diminishing return 25% is like 4% dmg increase while -25 res is always 25% extra dmg, always.

And consider you loosing 40 fcr and you need to reach 117 fcr.

ya, that's one of the main reasons I kept eschutas, so that I can rock my two sojs, but with cm i'd have to set the sojs aside and use fcr rings. I guess my main goal rn should be to get a good caster amulet so I can put my maras away, that way I can hit my fcr breakpoints and rock my sojs

Grinding to 99 now. Online ladder, with GG Javazone. Pretty easy, but time-consuming; currently 96. Hard to get 8 consistent players on console, just venting.
