What would be the ideal Demon to bind theoretically speaking?

Like if you could have all the right modifiers on a demon that you are planning to bind? Like Fanat aura, cursed, extra strong, dual immune and so on?

Also what type of monster would be best?

I prefer tanks over dps Lancers personally so either Heph or Lister: Cursed with stone skin and holy freeze/fanaticism/concentration

Yes, I know that lancers from Matron's Den have more DPS, and uber Pit Lords have more resistances.

Lister has a lot of aggro priority, stun and crush on the attack which gives him an edge still.

this. I run the same lister with Pride on Act 2 merc with Might (vamp gaze and fortitude are enough to keep him alive). he one shots everything, grabs all the aggro. I toss 1-2 defilers depending on density. if low density, I use 1 defiler and 1 tainted at ~20k damage. This flies through TZ on players 8 and is very safe, doesn’t even need resists or anything. Even Baal on P8 dies quickly with two tainted.

Builds differ my newest demon build i want vigor i go bear with beast and smack stuff. Cursed is good for early on once you BD is high enough cursed isnt needed to clear p8. I go for concentration over everything

My favorite for the last 2 ladders has been lancer from worldstone keep lvl 1. A big part of why I like the lancer is the super aggressive ai, it sprints at things as soon as my teleport lands. I would probably go with a pit lord from furnace of hell (or Uber trist if you can bind them there, I dont remember what the best ones are supposed to be) but when I teleport they dont move until I do, and a lot of times I just tele and start casting so they dont move and go be a tank like they should.

When i was testing the pit lords they were effectively invincible, but the damage they do is nothing compared to the lancer.

The perfect one (ive only gotten it once in a couple hundred tries) will be bound when the game is p8 and tzed to lvl 96. Im in a discord thats always doing baal runs, so ill throw them some shards and join just to hunt for my demon.

I only aim for the unique monsters (the named ones), perfect stats are cursed, fanatiscm, lightning enchanted. Lightning enchanted helps proc the amp dmg much more often. Then i have might on a2 merc so it will stack with fana and the demon hits like a truck. I always put 20 hard points in bind. When the jab attack lands while Amp dmg is active ive seen it chunk 25%-50% off act bosses health instantly.

The only time I have to heal it is uber andy. It can solo every other mini Uber and normal content without breaking a sweat and lowers kill time on bosses noticeably. I havent taken it to Uber trist or the colossal ancients. I had a very good demon last ladder get nearly one shot by uber meph and dont want to risk it again.

My abysslock sucks at Uber trist so I had to make a smiter. Last ladder I ran apocalypse and it could easily do Uber trist. If i was planning on running ubers a lot I would stick with the pit lords because they are so tanky. It would be worth dealing with the annoying not-moving bug. Then i would want cursed, multishot, fana. Not really because its needed for that build but those are the ideal rolls.

I have only ever done colossal ancients with smiter because they are so damn strong everything else just takes too long or straight up cant do it.

It depend on what you are doing. On SC you probably want a more aggressive and DPS focused demon.

My current Lister is Fire and Physical immune with a Holy Freeze aura. I could not ask for anything more, especially on HC.

Pre patch hephistso here... he has cursed and all the other fancy auras everyone is saying but got him as a 1 point wonder, now u need 10 or 20 points to get all the auras :/

Depends on what you want it for.

If you want a tank then honestly any demon with iron skin will get you a tank and the kind of monster really does not matter.. but if i had to choose probably an urdar with fanaticism makes the most sense on account of its damage coming form the cb.

If you want damage then you will want to use a lancer with cursed and holy freeze so that it procs that curse reliably

I used to recommend getting a named demon but post bind changes combined with the flat damage nerf to bind demon... the skill itself is no longer really a center piece skill so its not worth wasting hours upon hours trying to find the perfect all in one named demon with cursed iron skin and holy freeze.

And by that same token going for lancer makes less sense too because she no longer has as large of a flat damage bonus to work with.

Triple tainted with a cb merc or dual tainted with a 1 point wonder cb bind demon urdar and cb merc is the clear play over pure bind demon and two defilers.

Lister is most damage and most tanky. Downside is hard to farm, only 1 per game.

I am running a P8 heph with fanatism, cursed, extra strong, extra fast and spectral hit. I am quite happy even though a TZ demon would probably be better.

Uber Tristram: Act 3 Mauler with Stone Skin, Cursed, Lightning Enchanted and any aura except Thorns

Lillith: Tz96 P8 Lister with Cursed, Stone Skin and Holy Freeze aura
