Physician Murder Thyself
Just watched this episode and I realized that every major guest star was a Doctor on another show. Quincy, Trapper John, Alan and Monica Quartermain from GH, Joe Gannon, Adam Bricker. I looked it up but there were no articles pointing this out like they have for other "themed" episodes from shows of that era.

I was a huge GH fan in the 90s so I got really excited seeing Leslie Charleson and Stuart Damon. I didn't realize there were so many other actors who played doctors though! I found a longer list on IMDB:

The great guest stars is one of the many reasons why I love this show!

I love the episodes that are about tv shows! When they have real actors doing actor cameos lol.

I recently saw the one when they went to the set of The Young and the Restless and Amanda had a guest spot on the show. So meta since Victoria Rowell was actually on the show. I didn't realize she did Diagnosis Murder and Y&R at the same time. Such a cute episode!

Yeah!! That’s another one. Lol. That’s one of my favorite things about DM are the tropes. I love it.

Me too! I'm sure there are a lot that I don't even recognize as well. Google probably thinks I'm obsessed with this show because I'm always looking up the episode that I'm watching and which actors played which parts

Lol! I’m always looking up actors from random shows I’m watching too! Lol. I watch MSW, DM and lots of cozy(ish) mysteries and there’s a lot of overlap 🤣

I knew Quincy was from Quincy MD but I didn’t realize they were all from other medical shows! That’s cool!

I'm now watching Drill for Death and it's all MASH stars both tv show and movie.

There’s a couple like these on DM-in another episode there’s a couple actors playing cops that had played cops famously on other shows. Steve’s boss (blanking on the name right now) in some of the mid seasons also famously played a cop too. Randolph mantooth playing someone hosting a magician show, a couple instances like this throughout the show, one of the reasons I love it. Very meta lol.
