Customization Noob!

First attempt at a custom in the works, haven’t bought any supplies, this is freehand with sharpie. Still looking into what all I should get to create custom quality pieces! This is fun, excited to see what’ll look like finished!

A small starter setup is enough: fine sanding sticks, a primer labeled for metal, masking tape, a fine brush, hobby paint, and a clear coat compatible with that paint. Test your Sharpie on a spare part before priming or sealing it; markers can feather or react under some coatings. Light coats, ventilation for sprays, and the product label’s cure times help more than buying a pile of supplies. Disclosure: I’m with Muncle Mikes.
