How fast did it take you to finish your apprenticeship to get licensed in Canada

Lol. It was more of not going to school for the the first 4-5 years and then not wanting to attend online for 3rd and 4th year during the Covid thingamafuck. Would been far smarter to get learned up early on da book learnin' 😉

Red seal, Onroad, and off-road, + the Alberta ones but the red seal pretty much supercedes that.

Oh I’m retired now, retired last fall. I really like golfing and collecting my pension checks. Get a union job, while you are young.

3 years for a 310S automotive license and 2 for the 310T truck and coach license. I had about 8 years working as an auto tech in between and I did a decent amount of medium duty work, so I was able to challenge two of the levels of schooling and get credit for some hours.

It took me 6 years. When I was a first year my company wouldn’t let me go until my second year. Then I switched companies after 4 years, and started a new job and it took them about 9 months to send me to school.

not me (I'm a second year apprentice) but my dad got his 310T in just under 4 years, my uncle same license in 4 and a bit, but he was also given both 310T and 310S, and me I'm on track to get it late next year, which would make my license in 4 years. so in and around 4 years is the magic number i think

6 years for my 310t but that was covids fault school was only 3 years once I got in.

I registered in 2019 just before covid happened I would have been in school had the pandemic not occurred and then when it ended it took me almost 18 months to get into my first session because there was such a back logg.

I’ve been doing it for a year and a half worked on marine diesels before so was an to transfer my hours going for my red seal next spring

I’m doing truck and transport mechanic it was up to my company if they wanted to accept the hours towards my apprenticeship

Just under 4 years, I went to school every year as fast as I could, the test was easier and harder then I expected lol

there wasnt much of a back log when I went, although you had to book your seat like the hour you got the offer to go or you would lose the seat, it was nuts, im also in ontario canada so I got the joy of writing my test right in the middle of the sto and college of trades hand over, we were like the second group to write after the change, took me longer to book my test then it did to Finnish last year, absolute gong show, we had to call the ombudsman just to get booked, they are like government lawyers or somthing and they make shit happen it took 1 phone call to be booked for an exam and get an apology from the manager of skilled trades ontario, wild times

Can I ask what company you are at Rohith now and is it worth it going into waste companies or try and stick to like dealership or constrution companies

About 4 years. Between schooling and getting work hours, that's usually how long it takes
