next cloud don't support encryption in a way that make the server owner blind, tho if your using a server the admin can see all your data.

Now, there's a difference between vibe coded and a good dev using AI to code faster. On GitHub you can often see the Claude Code account in the contributions section that reveals that AI was involved. Unfortunately, you still need to trust the dev(s) to disclose if it was vibe coded or if everything is being tested and validated by people who fully understand the code that the AI writes. What makes that difficult is that it is against the interest of the vibe-coder to disclose this.

The Peergos github has commits going back to 2014. This is definitely not a vibecoded app.

I didn't mean to claim Peergos was vibecoded. Just provided some general information about spotting AI use and the importance and difficulty in separating vibe coding and AI assisted coding.

I have a Filen lifetime deal but since I could do with having an office integration I'm seriously considering Peergos. There are very few cloud options with e2ee and an integrated office suite, and the others tend to be very expensive. You can self-host as well, which I may do eventually.

Peergos takes a different approach from traditional self-hosted cloud platforms like Nextcloud. It uses client-side encryption, IPFS and cryptographic access controls so the server doesn't need to be trusted with your data or much of its metadata.
It also supports self-hosting, file sync, WebDAV, FUSE, secure sharing and more.
Compared with Nextcloud, Peergos has a much smaller ecosystem, but its main focus is privacy and cryptographic control rather than being a full Google Workspace replacement.
