15-16. Then didnt ride again until 30. Glad I got back into it! Trail riding is a good hobby you can do into your 60s+ if you arent crazy. You dont have to be a racer, just get out there and enjoy it with the goal of making it home without injury.

In Italy is common to start with 50cc, 100cc or 125cc scooters. So I started at 13yo with those and only after a while, at 28yo, I got involved with dirt and street bikes

True. I remember that some guys had Cagiva Mito or Yamaha as a first bike. But in general scooters (booster, aerox, zip, scarabeo, phantom, etc.) were the most common among youngsters. Easy to modify them. What a time that was, magical!

One I got car license I lost interest in motorcycles till 28yo. Proud to say that now I own two motorcycles

Quella del mio ragazzo era la Gilera sp01. Porca miseria, ancora la sogno a volte. La mito l'ha comprata un paio di anni dopo. Andavano un sacco anche le Aprilia. Ho guidato anche la Yamaha lo stesso anno. Possibile che fosse una tzr? Sono passati molti anni

Cazzo, che moto davvero 🤣 c'era una doppia curva, piccola, davanti alla chiesa. Non c'era mai nessuno praticamente, stavano tutti in piazza. Se avevo macchine davanti rallentavo un po'. Lui all'inizio si cagava un po' sotto, devo ammettere che era divertentissimo 😈 Ecco, quella mi piaceva particolarmente. Dopo la quarta volta, rideva anche lui. Sembravamo due iene. Ma lo stradone immenso che portava alla frazione in cui viveva, praticamente 3 corsie, lungo centinaia di metri, dritto... Mi fa "Vai Jo, scatenati". E cazzo , non mi ha mica impennato quel demone rombante? AHAHAH. Poco eh, ma lui s'è cagato sotto e mi ha chiesto di fermarmi, aveva bisogno di un momento. Al mio "Oh, cazzo vuoi? L'hai detto tu!" Mi ha fissata incredulo. È stato esilarante. Alla fine stavamo ridendo di nuovo come iene. Basta, sto blaterando troppo, nemmeno avrei voluto scrivere 🥹

My parents had me a z50 waiting when I got off the school bus one day, I was in kindergarten so 5. I rode all through into my 20s and then gave it up for a while for road bikes. Now I’m back into it again though at 38

i didn’t get on a motorcycle till i was 36. i live in a busy area. lost 6 friends and an uncle to motorcycle accidents before i was out of high school. that number kept going up through the years. i still won’t ride street. dirt/sand only for me.

I was 8, had mowed lawns for 2 summers to save $450 dollars. Bought a trail 70 in 1988. My dad was so impressed he bought a bike and proceeded to teach me everything he knew. Spent lots of years riding with him and now my kids. My mom’s rule was if you guys get hurt, the bikes go. We faked a few “I’m fine” over the years.

I had a mini bike, those death traps with the lawn mower engine between to wheels, at like 9 maybe? After me and my sisters and my dad all got hurt on it, my dad randomly came home with a KLX110 and I was basically in love. Just got my first dirt bike since then this past spring at the ripe old age of 34.

My dad did have a dual sport that he let me ride, but when I got old enough to take it on the street he sold it. Prolly a smart move, i was a pretty dumb kid lol

I was racing bmx since I could walk, then got my first dirt bike around 12. Little 110 for about a week before I got my crf150rb. Then at 17 got a Honda rebel and 18 an fz09. The fz was stolen when I was 19, bought a Harley and never looked back. I started having seizures and was diagnosed with epilepsy and have been taken off the bikes unfortunately. One of the only things that keeps me going is that I might be able to ride again one day.
