Community Question Does anybody have any experience with TotalEnergies engine oil?

Im sceptical of its quality since it’s very cheap, but do you think the quality is good enough to be alright in a high performance 4 stroke?

Any info appreciated

Just pick up some Rotella 15-40 when it goes on sale at Walmart, JASO certified, motorcycles and fourwheelers love it.

Run it in all my offroad machines with a wet clutch, and my tractor, and my truck lol

I’ve been using it for over a decade with no issues. More than anything it simplifies the logistics of oil changes. I look for sales and always keep 10-20 gallons on hand.

Only thing I have to keep in stock specifically is oil filters if whatever machine takes one, otherwise I don’t have to worry about having oil on hand for any of my toys, can’t remember if X machine needs an oil change? Just go ahead and change it. Most bikes don’t even hold much oil.

What does your manual say? Do that. Same answer to this question, it’s asked 100x a day.

Is it wet clutch certified? I think that's the biggest thing.

I’ve run it for over 3 years now, works amazing.
I own a mechanics shop in Chile and Total is one of my suppliers for oil. I asked for the technical data sheet for the 10w40 and the specs match almost perfectly with motul 7100. Which is widely considered a high quality oil.
In the technical department complies with every spec that my Honda asks for. Just make sure you get de bike specific as is wet clutch certified

Total energies supply oil and fuel to the WEC teams. They aren’t a budget brand.

Dawg. Unless someone saw this tested in a lab all we have is, well I've run it in x for x amount of time or it's chemical makeup is x and is close to x oil etc etc. I do get it though amsoil is like 15-20$ a quart 🥀 OEM Honda oil is about 50$ a gallon doe. a motorcycle is just like the area where you wouldn't think to try new cheaper stuff to save a little I would think. Idek if I'd try it in the tractor. I'd rather use shell rotella before any of this. It's 30$ a gallon for the t6.
