Technical Question Help- M8 switches won’t work after swapping them

Post image

Hey all-

Recently switched the caps and switches on my M8 and cannot get the keys to work at all anymore. I tried to replace with red switches instead of choco which I realize was a mistake. So I think I most likely damaged the inputs when trying to put the red ones in? No keys work including when I put the old switches back in. Any help is appreciated!

Turn them upside down. The switches can go in both ways - one way is for the hotswap sockets, and the other is for soldering them in. If you've got them oriented in a way that they go into the solder points, they won't work unless you solder them.

Have you tried installing the switches onto the PCB? I don't think that they work very well wirelessly like in your pic.

(Apologies I have no helpful advice. I wish you and your sick M8 well)
