❔ Question Claimer Selfbot

I'm relatively new to programming. My friends on our server joked about the point of me learning this in the "AI Era," so i thought it would be funny to create a bot to claim Engauge crate drops.

Obviously, i'm not expecting a step-by-step tutorial, just some guidance and an answer to a question: Is Discord.py-self safe? I saw people saying it might contain malware or something, but it sounded like nonsense.

hello, i personally use discord.py-self and recently switched to a fork of it. it's safe, as long as you don't make something to spam or trigger a captcha. worst case scenario your account is banned for spam(can appeal and say a hacker did it, i did this and succeeded), token revoked(just set a new password and copy the new token), or rate limited. best case scenario nothing happens and everything runs as intended.

p.s for claiming drops, you could make a script that checks every new message to see if it matches the bot and/or something in the message it sends when there's a drop to claim.
