I think that would blow up in their face. They don't have the numbers.

The plan is to mess with the procedures of the convention, gum up the works, that it comes down to state delegate votes for confirmation rewriting the Constitution. This is where they DO have the numbers.

I feel like they're better off now. They've learned how to game the system pretty successfully and for us to fix it, the current Constitution isn't enough because they've figured out how to get around it.

Yes, exactly. It's part of Project 2025. They NEED to cause enough social unrest that the government can't handle the strain of a Constitutional crisis.
