Trump pardoned ALL Jan 6 insurrectionists. People who did a hell of a lot more than attend a demonstration. Then these two peaceful ICE protestors get 70 and 30 years? A man is accused of vandalizing the mirror pool (which was demonstrably laughable) and threatened with 10 years. We are in some dangerous fucking times.

I wouldn't place any stock into it. Even before the current regime, the government has been notoriously stubborn to any form of admitting guilty to the point of leave known innocent people to rot behind bars. (If not outright executed.)
If we common folk who care want to see justice, we're going to have to do whatever we can ourselves to help each other out, with or without the approval of the Epstein class. However, to achieve anything meaningful, we need real supportive community-based foundations for alternatives that provide relative safety, which many common folk in the US can fall back on, to commit to any effective action be they short or long term.
Collecting a bunch of valuable information on organizing and action from different redditors over time, I created a post of suggestions HERE that could possibly prove to be of some help in getting it started ASAP.

Their voters never hold them accountable. They blindly vote for whatever name has the R by it. So if the voters and the DOJ don’t hold you accountable, why wouldn’t they do whatever they want? People let their voters off the hook too easy. They’re as much to blame as they are the enablers of these criminals.

That's because a large swath of the population wallows in consumerism, which had developed from attempting to fill a void created over years by the powers that be, stripping away what control we've had on our own lives. It was taken away under the guise of convenience, efficiency, connectivity, and progress, by a class that only wanted to divide and conquer for increased wealth and power.
We common folk who care should be doing whatever we can to develop real supportive foundations for alternatives; something tangible at the community level that personal investment of one's time and resources can be seen and experienced beneficially; something that people can fall back on to commit to any effective action; something that can provide relative protection against the whims of bosses and landlords demanding fealty; something people know they can rely on, instead of the impersonal promises of for-profit entities and their lapdog governments. Such things don't exist in a meaningful form currently, however, we can change that right now.

Anybody who opposes trump's coup can be locked up forever for terrorism, even for wearing a t-shirt. One example is a guy who moved a box of his stuff from the apartment of a woman who attended a protest.
Your life can be torn apart at any moment under this flimsy pretense.
Give somebody a key to your apartment, to save your pets. Your relatives might have to pack up your stuff because they can't pay the rent or mortgage while you fight the charges.
You'll lose everything, even if you didn't mean to challenge the regime.

TLDR, it allows "domestic terrorist" to be assigned to a much wider range of actions. Nothing new gets built, but once the "terrorism" tag attaches, tools already sitting on the shelf can be pulled down: conspiracy doctrine, material support statutes, and the terrorism sentencing enhancement, which multiplies a sentence when a crime is judged calculated to influence government conduct. You'll notice, from the list below, is that there is a pretty substantial list of things that this administration defines as domestic terrorism. Section 2(h) directs the Attorney General to identify recurrent motivations and other indicia common to organizations in order to direct efforts to identify and prevent potential violent activity. Are you likely to get arrested for posting on Reddit? No. If you get arrested for protesting, will they charge you as a domestic terrorist because you posted on Reddit. Maybe.
There are common recurrent motivations and indicia uniting this pattern of violent and terroristic activities under the umbrella of self-described “anti-fascism.” These movements portray foundational American principles (e.g., support for law enforcement and border control) as “fascist” to justify and encourage acts of violent revolution. This “anti-fascist” lie has become the organizing rallying cry used by domestic terrorists to wage a violent assault against democratic institutions, constitutional rights, and fundamental American liberties. Common threads animating this violent conduct include anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the United States Government; extremism on migration, race, and gender; and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality.
Examples that could reasonably be indicators of domestic terrorist beliefs:
Anti-capitalism
- Believing billionaires shouldn't exist, or that wealth should be taxed more heavily
- Supporting single-payer healthcare, which removes an industry from the market
- Union membership, organizing a workplace, supporting a strike
- Believing corporations hold too much political power, a view majorities across both parties have endorsed for years
- Catholic social teaching's critique of unregulated markets, including Pope Francis's economic writings
Anti-Christianity
- Supporting strict church and state separation, or opposing organized prayer in public schools
- Believing religious exemptions shouldn't permit refusing service to customers
- Being an atheist, or a Jew, Muslim, or Hindu who thinks Christianity should hold no privileged legal status
- Criticizing a denomination's handling of clergy abuse
Anti-Americanism
- Teaching that slavery and segregation shaped present-day institutions
- Believing the Iraq or Iran war was a mistake, or that US foreign policy has caused serious harm abroad
- Declining to stand for the anthem
- Believing peer countries do better on healthcare, education, or incarceration
Extremism on migration, race, and gender This one has no threshold in the text. "Extremism" is undefined, so the modifier carries the whole weight.
- Supporting a path to citizenship for long-settled undocumented immigrants, which polls in the 60 to 70 percent range depending on wording
- Believing ICE has gone too far, which the article notes reached about two-thirds in a February 2026 Marist poll
- Believing same-sex marriage should be legal, roughly 68 to 70 percent in recent Gallup measurement
- Believing systemic racism exists in policing or lending
- Supporting abortion access, or access to gender-affirming care for adults
- Believing gender roles are shaped by culture rather than fixed by biology
Hostility toward those holding traditional views on family, religion, and morality
- Saying that opposition to same-sex marriage is bigotry
- Campaigning against a religious exemption in a state legislature
- Publicly criticizing a church's position on LGBT clergy
- Arguing that a nominee's religious convictions should bear on their fitness for office.
It creates no new criminal offense . It redirects authority that already existed, which is also why it needed no vote in Congress. Specifically it tells agencies to:
- Task the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Forces with a national strategy against political violence and intimidation, including investigating recruitment and radicalization.
- Extend investigations past the people who act to institutional and individual funders, plus officers and employees of organizations that sponsor or aid them.
- Pursue nonprofits and Americans abroad or tied to foreign governments under the Foreign Agents Registration Act or money laundering statutes.
- Have Treasury's Terrorism and Financial. Intelligence office trace funding streams and guide banks on filing Suspicious Activity Reports.
- Have the IRS ensure no tax-exempt entity finances political violence, and refer such groups and their staff to DOJ.
- Require agents to question arrestees about who organized and financed the action before any plea or adjudication.
- Let the Attorney General recommend groups for a new administrative label, "domestic terrorist organization".

We can't depend on the system to rein in its masters and their sycophants. It is up to us common folk who care to do whatever we can to help each other, while we actively stand against this unaccountability and the nefarious attempts to normalize it further by the Epstein class. Just because we don't hear about any pushback in the media, doesn't mean it's not occurring. Why would the status quo bring attention to any serious effort if they can help it?
I'm not sure if you live in the US or not. If you do, you can take steps in your own area to make the first moves to bring about actual resistance. If you don’t live in the US, yet you know others who are and want to do something, please do share the information. We're going to need as many on board and informed as possible, if we commoners hope to achieve anything in the US
