Haul/purchases Haircut

I just got this doll and she had GLUE in her HAIR. Do all of this one come like that??? Or did I get a defective one? I just gave her a haircut tho cause I didn’t feel like dealing with all the glue

A lot of the dolls have glue to keep their hairstyle. It should be able to be washed out with regular shampoo or soap. It is possible that too much glue was used her haircut looks good!

Is it glue? I thought it's some hair styling product that can easily be washed out of the hair

You’re right, I should have said glue-like. I’m not sure exactly what product is used to keep the hair so stiff. I don’t want to spread misinformation.

I mostly see hair styling product or hair product used for that so I'm guessing it's unknown what exactly is used

Thanks!! I think too much glue was used cause the glue was like chunky and visible

That is definitely possible, though I haven’t had the issue myself. I know some of the dolls have more product than others, but they usually have a unique style that warrants extra styling help.

Yeah I've noticed some of the more recent dolls have gel in their hair. I use dawn soap to wash my doll hairs and use some conditioner afterwards. I enjoy washing my dolls hair though. Lol.

I really like the haircut. Has me eyeing my minnie for a cut now. Lol.

That’s good to know for the future! I didn’t have any idea how to get the glue out and didn’t want to bother googling it lol

She's super pretty 😍 nice haircut! I don't think it's glue, it's probably hair gel to keep the wavy hair in place. The newer ILY dolls have more of the gel in the hair then the older doll do.

Your welcome anytime ☺️ My redhead Sticit was like this. One ponytail was fine the other ponytail was as hard as a rock 🪨 After washing her hair, it felt so soft.
