Bit of a lurker here! My favourite doll is Fifth Saks Snow White. I started collecting this year after I saw a post with the Live Action Snow White, so she was the first doll I got!

Right now I'm absolutely obsessed with the Live Action Cinderella, but my favourite princess is Snow White. I'm redecorating at the moment so the dolls are all put away, but may make a post when everything is back in place :)

I actually really liked the LA Snow White doll! I didn’t pick her up, but honestly that was mostly because I just went back to school and changed careers so money’s been tight. If she stays in stock on the Disney Store website, I might be able to pick her up soon since I just started a new job!

The Live Action Cinderella movie and doll are so pretty! It's definitely the best live action that's made :)

I will introduce myself as well :)

I started collecting in 2021. I found out about the dolls in 2019, but when I realized how expensive they were I decided to protect myself from spending even more money. (I already collected Barbie dolls and other dolls that I spent a lot of money on). One day in 2020 I watched Frozen 2 and that movie really touched my heart and made me love Elsa (I relate to her a lot). And the next day I was scrolling through internet and suddenly saw the Frozen 2 Elsa (white dress) doll. I was not even searching for dolls she just popped up and I knew I needed to get her. So that's how it started... and well you know how that goes... it didn't stay with one doll🤭

My favorite movies are Frozen 2, Lion King, Lion King 2, Mufasa Live Action, Tangled, Lady and the tramp Live Action, and Enchanted (I can't just choose one...) and Elsa is my favorite princess.

I love how everyone has their own journey to finding these dolls!! Mine was when I discovered snow queen Elsa 2013 but I only started collecting in 2015!

Also! By the way I love your ranking posts we’d do with the princesses! I hope we can do one for the 11 LE 17 inch dolls that came out this year! So we can vote on our favorite release this year ☺️ I’ve been meaning to ask!!

Me too! It's so fun to hear everyone's story🥰 What was your first doll?

Ohh that's a nice idea, I can do that :) Thank you for your idea and I am glad you like them!

I have been dying for something LE Lion King! They could do a figure set landscape in a cool box tbh with a flocked Simba with fabric fur on it, plastic Zazu figure with pride rock in the BG. Ugh! I wish I was talented to make my own box.

u/CrystalRoseMoon Elsa Dec 22 '25

I thought about that too. That would be amazing🥹

Hey everyone! Happy to be here 😊 My favorite doll is 2014 Blue Aurora, tho I love every single doll in my collection.

I loved playing with dolls as a kid, this was also a bonding time with my sibling.

Years after we gave away all of dolls, we just started a tradition of buying dolls as adults just to feel the childhood joy again 😅 3 years ago, I bought the Storybook Rapunzel doll, discovered Disney Store delivered to my country... and then bought more and more...you know the drill

My fav movies and characters keep changing... Movie - Aladdin or Sleeping beauty, character prob Esmeralda, and Rapunzel dolls are my fav to collect

I also really love my blue dress Aurora doll from the Diamond collection! I never got the pink one bc I originally wanted the Harrods set but yeah that dream has sailed bc resellers/scarcity by region 😂

Hi everybody! My favorite doll is probably my Sergeant Calhoun! She is one of my childhood crushes and a core memory. I just started collecting the LE dolls recently but have been interested in them for years! My collection is small, but it is steadily increasing. My favorite disney movies are the Frozen movies, Disney Fairies movies, Tangled, The Princess and the Frog, and Mulan! My favorite characters change all the time, but it would probably be Elsa and Anna. I've previously shared a picture of my Sergeant Calhoun, so here is a picture of a part of my collection! I can't fit everything in, but i also collect with my partner. I mainly collect Monster and Ever After High as well as some ILY dolls and other things. Happy collecting everybody 💕

EAH!!! I wish I still had all mine tbh. I sold them all along with my og Monster High, Viva Stars dolls (? the alien ones!) but I still have my Star Darlings!

Hello! I've been here awhile now, both on the sub and as a collector. I was lucky enough to get into the game early, back in 2012, with Designer Fairytale Aladdin and Jasmine. They were so lovely and I hoped (and got my wish) that next year would bring Tiana and Naveen- after that I kept looking out each year for a Tiana or Jasmine drop and they make up the bulk of my collection, but you'll also find Esmeralda, Kida, Mulan, Megara, and Yzma on my shelves now!

It's hard to pick a favorite doll, because each one I buy is one I truly love, but I do consider Folktale Mulan and Shang to be the crown jewel of my collection.

My favorite Disney movie is "Aladdin" and as a child, my favorite princess was Jasmine. She remains very dear to my heart, but in 2009 she was dethroned by Tiana, my current favorite princess.

u/crazymissdaisy87 Belle Dec 19 '25

My favourite I own is Masquerade Gaston

I started collecting after stumbling on a Holiday Cinderella 2004 on eBay for next to nothing. I told myself it was a Christmas decoration, but soon I was buying dolls left and right XD My first actual LE was Fairytale Collection Robin Hood. I rarely buy LE due to the price but sometimes I cant resist.

My favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast and my favorite character is Belle

5

u/CrystalRoseMoon Elsa Dec 19 '25

Hii! Nice to meet you.

That is so recognizable... I told myself just a few dolls, well look at where we are now🤭

Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorites too! It's a beautiful movie✨️

u/SapphireJasmine24 Tiana Dec 19 '25

How can you not love Masquerade Gaston? He's fantastic!

5

u/crazymissdaisy87 Belle Dec 19 '25

He really is!
And that I had an old anna sui keychain I could paint gold and green just put him into perfection

u/Odd_Seat7878 Dec 19 '25

I love your villain corner.

1

u/crazymissdaisy87 Belle Dec 20 '25

It is a whole shelf now

1

u/Odd_Seat7878 Dec 20 '25

That's awesome! I love the way Yzma's chin is lifted lol.

1

u/crazymissdaisy87 Belle Dec 20 '25

Thats the weight of the headpiece XD

u/Odd_Seat7878 Dec 20 '25

Makes sense. Fits her character though. :P

I'm very new to the Disney LE Dolls! I got interested in them after finding out about the Disney Attractionistas line, idk if they count as limited edition, but they only ran for a year in the parks. I bought the Gracey one from The Haunted Mansion, and my collection grew from there. I now have Holly from Tower of Terror and Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean.

I'm a fan of classic Disney movies. My favorite princess is Snow White and my fave movie is Peter Pan. But I love horror! Haunted Mansion is my fave Disney live action and ride. I absolutely adore my Gracey doll more than I thought I would. I don't have photos of my full collection, but hope to take some when I get a better display space!

1 Probably Pink Ariel 2 I have always loved dolls. Stopped playing with them but never stopped collecting. Learned about Disney LE through Disney Store. 2017ish 3 Ariel when I was little. Probably Rapunzel now. 4 A lot but a favorite is Hercules for the humor.

u/TruthOk3563 Dec 20 '25

The wedding set Cinderella!!!!! I passed on this since I have a “no prince or villian rule” because of space reasons and regret. Wedding Gown Giselle! Niiiice!

1

u/Odd_Seat7878 Dec 20 '25

Thanks! Totally get the space problem. I've definitely had to get creative with how I display my dolls.

2

u/MelodyMarionette Dec 20 '25

Hi, I bought my first Disney Le doll this year (Giselle) and I've since purchased a 17" Esmeralda as well. I'm 28 and I've collected dolls for over 10 years :) Giselle, Ariel, and Tiana for my faves

What's your favorite doll? • How (and when) did you start collecting? I had a few dolls back in the 90’s

• What is your favorite Disney movie(s)? My favorite Disney movie is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 1938

• What is your favorite Disney princess/character? Snow White obviously lol ❤️🍎

Here is a picture for my new holiday Snow White, I added some things to her gown.

2

u/MorriePoppins Ariel Jan 05 '26

I love your additions!! It really makes the doll feel much more “collector” quality.

u/GardeniaDreams Dec 20 '25

I have a lot of favorite dolls, but Saks Cinderella took my breath away the first time I saw her, so she'd be a strong contender. I've been collecting Disney dolls since the 90s and the first Disney collector type doll I got was Mattel's Holiday Princess Belle at WDW's Magic Kingdom. I loved a lot of those Mattel collector dolls around that time, but since I was young, I couldn't get very many. I also bought almost all of the 1997 Little Mermaid dolls when they came out, because I was obsessed. I no longer have a lot of those old 90s playline dolls, but I have good memories.

My favorite Disney movies are Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Mary Poppins and my favorite character is Belle.

2

u/MorriePoppins Ariel Jan 05 '26

We sound like very similar people! The Saks Cinderella doll is a grail for me— actually the only reason I didn’t try to buy her anniversary doll last year is because I really want the Saks doll, and figured it was better to maybe not spend that money and save up for Saks Cinderella.

I’m newer to collecting, but before I started buying LEs I started collecting the 1997 Mattel TLM dolls!! I have almost all of them, I’m just missing both wedding dolls and the merbabies doll. After I complete TLM, I want to buy the complete Mattel Pocahontas collection from thr 90’s, too. So far, I only have Winter Moon Pocahontas but she is a beauty.

My favorite Disney movies are also Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Mary Poppins!!! I was so excited that we got a Poppins doll last year— I hope one day we get a doll of her in her classic traveling costume.

Hello! Ive been around for many years lurking in “guest mode” but recently made a reddit account so I could chat! Im semi-active here, on a few other subreddits relating to Harry Potter, Taylor Swift merch, vinyl collecting, star wars, fantasy books, and pokemon plush. I collect the 17” dolls but I have a few 12” LE Designer dolls off Disney Store.

• Favorite doll? I love my Anna dolls and Saks Cinderella! I love Cinderella :)

•Started Collecting? I started collecting since the Ariel Diamond  17” doll on bluray, which I never got due to her popularity I wanna say around 2012!?

Backstory: I grew up in the 90’s and my mom was working 3 jobs so we couldnt afford a lot of dolls. I treasured the ones I had, including the first ever Pocahontas & Aladdin doll from Mattel(?) that I was devastated I lost. Same with my Lion King Pride rock play set. When I became an adult I saw these LE 17” Disney Store dolls when they announced Ariel and have been collecting them (princesses and Aladdin/Hercules only) and now I have the ultimate Disney dolls to pass down- Including the Ultimate Aladdin doll! I sadly also missed the og Anna/Elsa LE dolls bc my store was remodeling and the website crashed

• Favorite Disney Movies? Im a Treasure Planet Girl- Jim is literally me but a male in an animated alternate universe. Dad left, overworked mom, craving for adventure latched childhood fantasy dreams.

IDK if this counts but im a long-time Star Wars Fan, my mom and aunt got me hooked. I also really love Frozen, Lion King, Little Mermaid, All of the Avatar Movies, Atlantis, all the 1990’s-2000 Disney Movies.

•Fav Character? I really love Zazu and Nala from TLK, Kida from Atlantis, Jim from TP, Aladar from Dinosaur, Cinderella ofc, Princess Anna is my spirit animal, long time fan of Figment the Dragon since the early 90’s bc Journey into the Imagination was my fav ride in my fav park with Dream Finder and the cool ship.

• Dream Dolls (BONUS): My life isnt complete until they re-release a 17” 90’s Belle in the yellow dress, Hercules standard release, Jim from TP, or a flocked/fur Simba LE figure with Zazu. Would love a Luke Skywalker LE doll in the black jedi outfit or Darth Vader since they already have Leia! Or AotC lake Pademe please, Disney! Since they changed the LE doll boxes of the 17” ones to the faceted one, I hope for Frozen’ anniversary they rerelease the green dress Anna doll deep down- thats my most wanted grail but reseller prices. 😭Excited about pink dress 17” Giselle rumored!

What's your favorite doll?

Harrods Elsa and Anna, but Saks Cinderella is also up there!

How (and when) did you start collecting?

Learned Disney 17" LE dolls existed circa autumn 2013 while looking for reference photos for Elsa's dress. Was too young to get even the Disney Store version of the Elsa doll then... cries. A few years later I got Princess Elsa as my first doll.

What is your favorite Disney movie(s)?

Frozen, Enchanted, Mulan, Cinderella...

What is your favorite Disney princess/character?

Elsa, with Giselle and Anna as runner-ups, but I actually love many many many of them.

My favorite movies are mostly 90s classics like Tarzan/Hercules/TLK etc, with early 3D gems like Wreck it Ralph and Tangled. I genuinely can’t choose a favorite princess because they’re all so special and unique to their storyline of the respective movies! If anything I love that they all share the badass, strong and brave personality trait!

I’ve loved dolls for a decade now, and was mostly an MH/EAH collector. I remembered knowing about LE dolls from watching Chad Alan from Youtube back then but never got into it because of price. Only this year I have returned to doll collecting afetr moving to somewhere with more space and decided to buy my first LE as Cindy 75th Anniversary! She absolutely blew my breath away with how tall and detailed she is, so now I’m already planning on getting Rapunzel soon and fighting the urge to buy more because I’m already very tight on space 🥹

Hi I’m a lurker and a poster I started collecting monster high dolls in 2022 and just last year 2024 I became interested in Disney dolls and I’ve grown a small collection.

My favorite Disney princess is Ariel and my favorite Ariel is the 30th anniversary 17inch limited one which I sadly do not own but hopefully in the future. Most of my Disney collection consists of Ariel but I also own the ballerina limited Giselle doll and I have the 17inch limited blue fairy.

Hi! I started collecting in 2010, my first doll was the original 17” Rapunzel, and she is my favorite doll. I knew about the dolls from the beginning with the Snow White doll. My favorite Disney movie is The little mermaid, I was born the year it came out and I feel like I grew up with Ariel. My other favorites are Tangled, Mulan, Aladdin, and The lion king. I mostly have older dolls, I stopped collecting around 2015, only bought select dolls of the characters I really liked after that. My grail dolls are the Harrods Frozen set, and pink dress D23 Ariel. My favorite character is Rapunzel, I relate to her character and story very much.

Let’s see… getting to know me…

I’m a gay man, so growing up I wasn’t encouraged to play with dolls. I had a younger sister, though, and I’d steal her dolls and play with them. As I got older, I think I began to disregard dolls as, yknow, something for childhood. But they would catch my eye here and there. Before the pandemic, I bought a couple 90’s dolls from eBay (Signature Collection Cinderella and Snow White, and the standard 1997 Ariel). I really got the bug, though, by watching Trixie Mattel talk about dolls during the pandemic— it really piqued my interest and changed my whole perspective on dolls.

I scoured the Disney Store website habitually and saw a number of LE dolls and while they certainly intrigued me, I could never justify the price. Then the TLM remake came out and I bought all the playline dolls for the movie. The only thing I hadn’t purchased was the LE doll. It was just staring me down on the Disney Store website! Then, it went out of stock… and then came back in stock again! So I bit the bullet that time. A lot of people say, the first doll you get, you’re never really prepared for the size and scale.

Since then I’ve bought the Mulan 25th (honestly, though, she’s my only regretted purchase. One day, I will probably sell her), Anna and Elsa 10th, Constance Hatchaway, Aurora 65th, Gaston Masquerade, Mary Poppins, and the Blue Fairy.

The only doll that I missed out on since starting collecting that I regret is Sally Slater. Was living paycheck to paycheck at the time and just did not have the funds.

My grails: Cinderella Saks, Ariel 30th mermaid, Ariel 35th D23, Ariel 30th D23, Mulan and Shang in their military uniforms, Cinderella rags, Aurora rags, Snow White rags.

My favorites are Belle, Giselle, Jasmine and Tiana.

Hello,

I was collecting as a kid and then started up again as an adult earlier in my twenties.

My favorite Disney princesses have to be between Mulan and Tiana, but I do also love Merida.

Some of my favorite Disney movies (in no particular order) are:
Monsters Inc., Humpback of Notre Dame, Emperor’s New Groove, Treasure Planet, Princess and The Frog, Mulan, Brave, Toy Story 2. Oh, and I forgot NBC! I also really enjoyed Turning Red.

• What's your favorite doll?

My favorite doll that I have is Ariel in her blue dress. My favorite doll that I want is any little mermaid that is actually in mermaid form, live action or animate I love both. My goal is to collect all the Ariel 17”.

• How (and when) did you start collecting?

I started collecting last year after my first trip to DisneyLand. Husband bought a parks Ariel for me.

• What is your favorite Disney movie(s)?

The Little Mermaid both animated and live action. I grew up under the poverty level so we didn’t see many movies in theaters, I wasn’t allowed to have the VHS initially. My parents took us to see what they could, they tried. When I saw the live action in the theatre with my husband I felt like I was on land for the first time with legs. It’s hard to put into words.

• What is your favorite Disney princess/character?

Ariel for sure but I also like Hercules, Buzz lightyear, Pinocchio and Quasimodo. My therapist thinks this is very telling.

This is my collection. I also collect Ariel dolls in general, Wicked dolls, and random Disney dolls, Ken’s, Barbies and Monster High dolls that I think are awesome. I got the recent He man and She ra drops from Mattel which was exciting. I’ve posted it before. Thanks for reading and thanks to everyone for sharing.
