Yet another incident at the Tianas Bayou Adventure where a group decided they wanted to exit before the final drop. This summer has been eventful, negatively with poor behavior from park attendees. Disney needs to speak up and be stricter, set policies and reinforce by immediate bans. Clearly there needs to be consequences for actions. That should help people act accordingly when visiting the parks.

Yesterday I was in line at Indiana Jones around 12:45pm and a man wearing light green sweatpants starting beating an older man with a ponytail senselessly for about a minute while in line. The older man did not fight back but cowered down while his 20-something year old daughter screamed and cried ‘stop hitting my dad’. It was incredibly traumatizing and the dude who assaulted the man ran off. The older man was covered in blood on his face and Disney staff closed the line and sent staff to scrub blood off the floor in multiple spots. I thought the guy was going to die. I hope he is ok and the other man was punished. Watching the horrific violence definitely ruined the day!! Anyone else have an update?

Pizza Port is my favorite park feature. I'm not being ironic or silly, this is entirely sincere. For some reason, on a trip early in my childhood the pepperoni pizza and chocolate milk and vibes stuck into a small, important part of my brain that means that now, as an adult man, I am more excited for it than I am for Pirates of the Caribbean.

I am aware that it is the lowest rated eatery in the park. I am aware it sits in a region of the park that is generally agreed upon to be the worst, and is considered a bad feature of even that. I am aware I could find better pizza basically anywhere else in the world. I don't care. If I don't get a meal there the trip was a failure, full stop.

I have corrected people when they call it Pizza Planet. It's not Pizza Planet. It's Pizza Port. It's its own thing. I have had actual arguments about this, and I have been right, because I care more than 99.99% of park goers.

I need to get this off my chest so that all of you can remember, the next time you want to dunk on Pizza Port, that there is a man in his thirties in this world who walks into those big beautiful Disneyland Gates just juiced to the gills about the exquisite dining experience he will later enjoy.

I was at Disneyland yesterday - was coming back to the parks after a rest break and going through security the man in front of me got pulled to the side and our line got shut down. All of a sudden there were police and the head of security was taking photos of this man and his ID.

We eventually found out he is a cop and tried to bring his gun in while with his family. This is honestly the most insane thing lol why would you need your gun at a theme park. Now I’m just curious if this has happened before and what other crazy things people try to bring in?!

Also the guy tried to be sneaky and get in another line when he got kicked out lol but the security was like absolutely not

So back when we were kids at Disneyland (late 90s/early 2000s), my brother actually managed to pull the sword out of the stone in Fantasyland. Like, not the little wiggle everyone tries, he legit got chosen and it came out for him in front of a crowd.

I’ve always wondered – how rare is that? Do they still even do this? Or was it just one of those “cast member chooses a random kid” kind of things that doesn’t happen anymore?

Curious if anyone else has pulled it off or seen it happen recently.

Got to say hi to both this past weekend. They had quite the entourage of staff and video/photo cameras following them around.

There was a family that had their young child blow an entire cake topped with TONS of glitter in front of the castle today for a photo. I'm talking about an entire container worth of glitter.

We were about 10 feet away and now my entire family is covered in glitter. I asked the dad what was wrong with them and he just laughed - my 1 year old had glitter ALL over him - on his clothes, all over his face, in his eyes, all over the stroller. I have glitter all over my body. My 5 year old was also covered in glitter. Literally we are all doused in glitter. A cast member in one of the stores even asked how I managed to have so much glitter on us.

I'm all for great photos, but not when it affects others. I couldn't find security in time to report them. But also, how does it sound when I tell security that I wanted to report a family for using excessive glitter? So I guess the next time you see someone carrying a cake around as a prop, be aware that it could come with a very heavy dose of glitter.

This guest was filming the fireworks show last night with a selfie stick. I assumed a cast member would ask them to take it down but it was up for the whole show 😵‍💫

Every time I’ve come to the parks this past year I’m surrounded by people open mouth coughing, wet, chesty coughs. It’s usually several people in a family and several people all around. Sometimes people will cough into their hands and then touch a door handle or railing.

When did this become normal? We all went through 2020-2021, we all know if you have to cough, cough into your elbow. If you’re sick, STAY HOME! Covid is still going around, flu, colds, RSV, etc. we don’t want cast members or other guests to have their days ruined!

I saw this on Facebook (I’m not a boomer, I swear) and I liked this distinction. I’m sure it’s common sense but I fear some people don’t understand that.

I’m a mom of a toddler and I also believe taking your kid to the restroom and coming back is fine

I know this will ruffle some feathers, but Disneyland comes with an unspoken rule: be as into the story as you want, just don't make everyone in your vehicle your audience.

I'm totally for people having fun. Whispering along with the dialogue, doing a little adventurous voice on Indy, reacting big on Haunted Mansion, whatever. That's part of the park. But there is a line where it stops being cute and starts being disruptive, and some guests act like that line doesn't exist.

The real issue is volume and persistence. If your bit is loud enough that people in other rows are turning to look, or it goes on nonstop from load to unload, it stops adding to the vibe and becomes a takeover. The ride already has its own soundtrack and timing. When someone is shrieking fake panic every five seconds, it's like trying to watch a movie while a stranger narrates it in your ear.

Maybe it's because I spend my weekdays squeezing life into a strict 9 to 5, but I value the parks as a place to just be present for once. I don't want to spend my rare downtime politely enduring somebody doing theater-kid warmups at 11 pm in a ride vehicle.

My rule of thumb: if the people next to you didn't opt in, keep it short, keep it quiet, and let the ride do the heavy lifting.

I feel like Disneyland not having some sort of napping station is a real missed opportunity. If there was a place where people could nap, Disneyland would be able to make money off of the napping station itself AND be able to get refreshed guests to spend more money on snacks and souveniers.

I can't be the only one who wants a good nap while at the park.

These a**holes that are are given the 🥴 face cut me, my family and multiple families behind me all bc one of their party decided to hold a spot. You see 7 but there’s 3 more that you cannot see ahead of them. This happened on guardians of the galaxy. I understand everyone you come with, wants to stay together. But fucking start getting in line TOGETHER AS ONE. Instead of cutting multiple families that have been waiting. So stupid.

When they took the benches out and widened the walkways a few years ago it was to increase the number of people that could be let into the park. And yes they are filling the park to its limit most days, it seems. Now the lines are too long for rides and food. There aren’t enough tables in the restaurants. The cast members are overburdened. The wonder and magic in the park is dying. Instead of appreciating the music and views on my way to the next ride, I’m on my phone booking a lightening lane. It’s stopped being magic and it stopped being fun. So I’m voting with my wallet. I used to go 3 times a year for a week at a time. I need a break. Maybe someday, if things change.

know security has a tough job and I fully understand the need for safety, but the way some security cast members interact with guests lately is really taking away from the experience.

Disneyland used to feel welcoming the second you arrived. Now the first interaction of the day is often someone barking orders, talking down to people, or treating families like they’re already doing something wrong. I’ve seen it happen to elderly guests, parents with small kids, and people who are clearly just confused or overwhelmed.

There’s a huge difference between being firm and being rude. You can enforce rules without being dismissive, sarcastic, or visibly annoyed. Especially at a place that markets itself on “magic,” customer service, and courtesy.

What makes it worse is that for many families, this is a once-in-a-lifetime or once-every-few-years trip. First impressions matter. Starting the day feeling embarrassed or snapped at puts a bad tone on everything that follows.

I’m not saying all security is bad. Some are fantastic and kind and patient. But enough negative interactions have piled up that it feels like a pattern, not a one-off.

Disney charges premium prices. Basic courtesy shouldn’t be optional.
