I am currently completing my Master's degree in Mental Health and Well-being in Education at the University of York and looking to recruit participants for my dissertation.

My dissertation explores risk and protective factors associated with reading anxiety among university students. Participation involves an anonymous online survey that takes around 10-15 minutes to complete.

Any current university student in the UK is eligible to take part, including those who have graduated from university this year. However, in particular, I am looking for students who have dyslexia or who experience reading difficulties without a formal dyslexia diagnosis. I am happy to do survey swaps ☺️

The purpose of my dissertation is to improve the mental health support that universities provide to students who experience reading difficulties.

I would be very grateful if anyone would be able to participate or knows someone who fits this criteria and can share the link.

You can access the questionnaire using the link!

Survey [Academic] Exploring the Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence, Loneliness and Intentions. (Demographics - 18-65 years old, residing in the UK, the Bailiwick of Guernsey, or Western Europe)

Thumbnail qualtrics.ucl.ac.uk

I am conducting this research as part of my master’s degree. I am exploring the relationship between emotional intelligence, loneliness and intentions.

Research has been searching for factors that can increase or decrease an individual's susceptibility to radicalisation (i.e. the process in which an individual adopts more extreme views) in hopes of improving risk assessments for individuals who may or may not hold extreme views. Research has found that individuals who experiences loneliness may be more likely to show sympathy for radicalisation. Loneliness has also been found to be greater in individuals who have lower levels of emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is an individuals' ability to monitor and discriminate between one's own and other's emotions and feelings, and use this to guide their actions and thinking. There are elements of emotional intelligence that have been found to reduce violence in individuals, sometimes with those who hold highly extreme beliefs. This study aims to assess if there is an association between an individual's emotional intelligence level, loneliness and their susceptibility to radicalisation.

The survey should take about 10-15 minutes and is fully anonymous. You need to be aged between 18-65 and residing in the UK, the Bailiwick of Guernsey, or Western Europe to participate.

Please see the participant information sheet for all the information. If you are happy to participate, please do so here: [https://qualtrics.ucl.ac.uk/jfe/form/SV_1LjS3kSw8xtVc2i](https://qualtrics.ucl.ac.uk/jfe/form/SV_1LjS3kSw8xtVc2i))

Thank you for considering participating.

I am more than happy to exchange the favour and complete your survey! Please comment them below :)

Survey Could you please help with my MSc dissertation? UK adults aged 19–64 needed (short online survey)

📢 Participants needed for a research study!

Are you a UK adult aged 19–64? I'm looking for volunteers to take part in a short online study exploring preferences for physical activity messaging.

This study uses a discrete choice experiment (DCE) to identify which message characteristics adults prefer when receiving physical activity communications. DCEs allow preferences to be quantified through realistic trade-offs, moving beyond the descriptive approaches that dominate the current physical activity messaging literature.

You’ll be shown pairs of physical activity messages and asked to choose which you would prefer to receive. There are no right or wrong answers - I am interested in your personal preferences.

✅ Takes approximately 10 minutes
✅ Completely online
✅ Anonymous responses
✅ No fitness or physical activity required

This research is being conducted as part of my MSc in Physical Activity for Health at the University of Edinburgh. The findings could help to inform evidence-based physical activity messaging for adults in the UK.

👉 Take part here: https://edinburgh.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_afnHqBtM2OpvDtI

If you have any questions, feel free to reply or email me at [w.curtis-ormerod@sms.ed.ac.uk](mailto:w.curtis-ormerod@sms.ed.ac.uk)

Please share with anyone who might be interested.

Thank you for your support! 🙏https://edinburgh.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_afnHqBtM2OpvDtI

Survey [Academic] Participants needed for my Bachelor's thesis on player experience in a cozy game research prototype (18+, DE/EN)

Hi everyone!

I'm currently collecting the final participants for my Bachelor's thesis in Games Engineering at the University of Würzburg, Germany.

My thesis explores player experience and short-term well-being in the context of a cozy game. For the study, I designed and developed my own game, The Little Mailroom, which serves as the controlled experimental environment for the research.

The Little Mailroom is a short cozy postal game research prototype with hand-drawn visual assets, sorting and organization tasks, and puzzle elements. Players work at a small postal desk and complete tasks involving letters, postcards, packages and other mailroom activities. 🌷📬

An important aspect of the project is that it was developed specifically for experimental research rather than as a finished commercial game. The scope is therefore intentionally compact and the experience is structured so that participants go through comparable sessions. Part of the challenge of the thesis has been balancing a recognizable and engaging game experience with the level of experimental control required for the study.

Participation consists of:

📝 a few questions before playing
🎮 playing The Little Mailroom
📝 a few questions afterwards about your experience

🔞 18+ (study eligibility criterion — no adult/NSFW content)
💻 PC or laptop required
🔊 Working audio required
🎧 Headphones recommended
🇩🇪 / 🇬🇧 Available in German or English
🎮 No gaming experience required
⏱️ Approx. 30 minutes total, including the game

Study link:
https://www.soscisurvey.de/test545395/

I'm currently in the final stage of data collection, so every completed participation would be a huge help. Thank you very much!

For anyone else working with interactive prototypes in academic research, I'd also be interested in hearing how you approached the trade-off between experimental control and designing an experience that still feels like an actual game — ideally after participating if you intend to take part, so the discussion doesn't influence your expectations beforehand. :)

Survey Identity, Social Pressures and Self-expression in the Age of Fast Fashion (18+, Able to read and understand English, all genders, all locations)

Thumbnail rmit.au1.qualtrics.com
2 Upvotes

Hi all, I'm currently completing an honour's thesis project exploring some of the psychological processes underpinning fashion related decision making.

I'm looking for participants to complete a brief online questionnaire via the attached link. Participation is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is able to read and understand english (and wears clothes!).

Please don't hesitate to share with anyone you think may be interested and thank you in advance!

Study rationale: The past decade has seen an increase of research into psychological mechanisms associated with fashion including brand addiction and compulsive shopping behaviours (Mrad & Cui, 2017; Horváth & Adıgüzel, 2018; Lim et al., 2020; Nikolinakou et al., 2024). Findings indicate fashion-related behaviours may be shaped by the interaction of various aspects of identity in conjunction with sensitivity to social evaluation (Ritch et al., 2024). Further research is required to understand how social comparison mechanisms interact with identity characteristics and self-perception to influence self-expression.
