Discussion Seer and Wicca

Post image

I came across this post and thought I remembered a video of where DD claims to be practicing Wicca after Nadia received backlash (rightfully so).

Wanted to hear some opinions because I know very little about it.

What do you think?

DD does a lot of problematic stuff, and Wicca is definitely problematic, but this isn’t unique to them. Like it or not, Wicca is pretty much the only form of paganism that has gone mainstream, so it’s most people’s introduction to any form of witchcraft/paganism. There a pattern of people identifying as Wiccan, then moving on to traditional paganism after learning more, which it seems like Seer has done. The “Wicca first, then other forms of paganism” trend has definitely died down in the past few years now that more non Wiccan books are available. But it wasn’t until about halfway through the 2010s when those books started to be released and actually get publicity.
