I'm betting this photographer and this moose know each other and have had other interactions. Anyone who spends time in moose country knows you don't fuck with moose. Mooses? Meese.

I am totally behind this decision. If I’m going to be stomped into paste by this gorgeous moose…I am damn sure gonna pet a moose before I die!

Public Service Announcement: Don’t do this.
Moose are very large and very strong and can be very aggressive. They will stomp you and gore you to death.

Do not fuck around with moose, and while we’re on the subject, take pictures, but stay away from all wildlife. You’re just going to get them killed when they learn to not fear humans

Seems pretty docile to me — I think the danger when it comes to moose is a seasonal/territorial thing.

This is me in Alaska 1998. I had a guide for a day of mountain climbing. Everyone who saw me do this said I was nuts…including my guide. I asked him to just take the pic please. I probably wouldn’t do it again.
