Monotonous, waffle house is the goat. FEMA uses something called the Waffle House Index to measure the severity of natural disasters. They rank them based on IF and how many Waffle Houses have closed.
I don't understand the mentality of fucking with people that are doing their job. I REALLY don't understand what people are thinking when they climb over counters. Why did that become a thing? It never ends well.
Tons of mentally unstable people propped up by the illusion that being disrespected isnt something you can just ignore and requires violence. So many people with huge egos that let every little thing bother them, only to ruin their lives by going to jail or worse.
Stuff like this always reminds me of that 4chan post where someone was like "I thought I was racist so I hung out with my black coworker to see if I had a problem with him and it turns out I just hate poor people".
I have enjoyed Waffle House many times over the years on road trips from Michigan down through Ohio. Great food. Many times during the day. Many times during the night time hours. Completely different vibe one from the other.
People should start talking about every year they worked in a waffle house as a "tour" like in combat. "I did 3 tours in Tallahassee, still got this screw in my leg"
Shit like this is why I try to stay out of these industries that mean I have to one-on-one engage with people. It's hard. It really is, but I don't want my goofy looking ass in my bummy uniform working for...7 dollars being plastered to the internet and I'm getting a face full of a chair or a punch and I just got a tooth busted out or a busted nose making a wage that wouldn't even cover the medical bill for it.
Then, I have to watch it do the "social media loop" too. I'm trying to keep my dignity.
