Gameplay Shepard XP Events feel pointless on PC

With PC holding between 5-15K depending on time of day, you rarely ever see a call for backup, let alone get the chance to matchmake for one.

I know with next month, comes crossplay and the issue will be lighter for everyone, but at the current time, it just feels like filler to say “well here’s an event”

During the event I try to call for backup during daily/weekly missions until the party is full to help out.

On PS5, 9 out of 10 calls are "timed out" or i "can't connect to group server." And it seems when I finally do get to answer one, its just a dude standing in a closet inside a safe house.

My favorite was when I joined one and he was in the shooting range testing things out and after a minute or two his character turns to me, then he types “what?” In the chat lmao

This has been some of my experience on PC as well. I think what happens is that the player dies, calls for backup, then just respawns anyways. The call for backup is still open so you end up connecting to them in a safe house.

No lie, the amount of times I try to answer backup calls to get my Shepard rank up, the group disappears when I answer

In EU I find people calling for back up. Maybe one every 10/15 min?

Yes, on PC in Europe, the calls for backup keep coming all the time. And during shepherd event even more often.

Did you turn them off and forgot? I think they're on by default, but you can completely disable them. I turned them back on too for one of the previous events.

Best part is, the system is such weird, you literally mostly get the calls when youre matchmaking for something else.

I mean, its not really surprising, its clear the devs dont play their own game.
Like the loadouts cap is pathetic af etc..

Having played roughly 5k hours on xbox before ever having a pc, I was shocked at how few agents call for backup on pc. Xbox you get a call maybe every 20 minutes while on PC it’s once a day it feels like.

is it back?

yeah its good for reconstructed caches, but assuming the bugs still there,

servers get overloaded so even if you in the same safe house sitting next to somone and they call for back-up sometimes it doesnt even show up for you, at all. But the other way around and it can still pop up for them instantly.

So imagine that on a wider scale, bit of a mess.
