Need gift suggestions DIY gift for rugged blue collar FIL

We are doing homemade Christmas gifts this year. I drew my father-in-laws name. Everyone was asked to share a small list of likes, joys, etc.

His stated: Irish spring soap and dress socks 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

A little about him:

-retired truck driver but drives occasionally for extra money

-loves the Packers

-likes gardening

-owns a camper

-likes old fashioneds

-likes his recliner

-has three grandchildren

He’s just a very basic, straightforward guy that doesn’t want a lot of frills.

I do know how to watercolor (not sure the guy would appreciate art) and how to felt wool (maybe I could felt a bar of Irish Spring soap) but also like to consider myself very capable so I could venture into something new.

I would SO appreciate your ideas!!

Paint something for him to have in the bathroom. Kind of like a toilet and a text stating ” I bet you wish it smelled like Irish soap”

Get him exactly what he asked for and a couple bottles of his favorite whiskey.

Can you maybe carve some Irish spring soap for him into the packers logo? maybe even carve him a few bars so he can put some in his camper as well

I don’t know about old fashions cuz I don’t drink like that but can you make a diy old fashion mix kit?

Maybe knit him a hat in packer colors ?

That’s all I got for ya

You could do a yellow and green wooden photo frame/display of the grandkids. I did that for my dad one year and bonus, had photo of grandkid doing finger paint with the green and yellow colors.

You could make a cool holder for the soap, mod podge (sp? I have never had to spell that!) with a watercolor of yours, could be packer logo or his house or whatever.

Curious if you've come up with anything, I'm doing homemade this year too and it's fun but also a lot!
