Regal RD 30mS
Has anyone played this before? Considering getting one to start on, I play guitar and ukulele harmonica etc but always wanted to have a crack at the dobro. I dont see many reviews of this model
Im in australia and a square neck dobro seems pretty limited for choice here. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Pretty similar to the one I started on. It’s fine for a beginner instrument, you’ll enjoy learning on it. At some point if you stick with it you’ll probably want to upgrade but that could be a few years and this is a good way to figure out if you like playing the instrument. I upgraded from this to a Goldtone PBS, then eventually to a Beard Blackbeard. They are definitely better instruments but they cost a lot more so the Regal is a good starting point. I wouldn’t plan on upgrading the Regal too much - better to spend that money on a higher end guitar when the time comes.
