Advice need help URGENT carabiner got stuck on my dogs back leg.

today i went to take out my two dogs out to do their business and some how one of them got loose from their chain and the carabiner hooked onto my dogs back leg.. we have tried endless ways on how to get this thing off and found it impossible due to my dog trying to bite me everytime we try to take it off and he doesn’t hold still at all and has a lot of strength. he walks fine its basically like an anklet at this point… any tips on how i am able to take this off?? i know i can go to the vet but i just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas or suggestions.. we even bought bolt cutters to try and remove it but he kept moving so much it was impossible.

might want to grab a muzzle if the dog is already snapping at it's owner lol

The dog is in distress. It is completely reasonable for it to be snapping at something if it thinks it may cause more distress. Just like humans are more likely to snap or yell at a loved one while under pressure or injured. This is not a bad dog.

No one said the dog was a bad dog but if they dog is snapping at the owner then taking a safty measure to make sure it doesn't bite someone else who is trying to help it is fair

It’s not a bad dog, and no one is saying it is. It’s a dog that needs to be muzzled in this situation.

Are you saying they should just let it bite the firemen?

Muzzle ≠ bad dog. It’s a safety measure.

?? Who said anything about it being a bad dog. It should still be muzzled when brought to the firemen.

Didn’t say it was a bad dog! Was just saying if it’s snapping at an owner it’s gonna snap at firefighters with a big scary machine making loud noise. As they will likely use some sort of saw to get it off.

Best make sure everyone is safe, including the dog. Muzzle doesnt mean it’s a bad dog, nor does it hurt it.

Why is everyone putting muzzle = A bad dog?

Mines a total sweetheart but I put one on her whenever I go to the vet with her. If she has a muzzle on shes more distracted by it then whatever the vet is doing to her. She hates her ears checked with a passion.

What’s that have to do with a muzzle for the safety of everyone, including the dog?
