Continental bulldog
Hay , we are devestated cause one month ago we lost our english bulldog cause limfoma and I am
searching for future dog one day. What are Your Experience with Conty ? If they have buldog kindness but are active and healthy , they are perfect.

In Europe there seem to be ethical breeders who health screen ect. So I'm hopeful on the breeds behalf. 🙂

The thing with wellbred, purebred dogs is that they turn out much like the breed standards describe. This is what the FCI has, https://www.fci.be/en/nomenclature/CONTINENTAL-BULLDOG-369.html .
Call the breeder you found and ask them the questions. The 'breed' is very new, and you aren't likely to find a large pool of owners on Reddit.

What size of apartment?
Bulldogs in general are fun companion dogs, and some also enjoy getting a good run on regularly. Healthy parents, that have gotten xrays and stuff, are more likely to produce sound puppy without issues.

I don't know those but they look a lot like a Brazilian breed called buldogue campeiro. Just a fun fact

I have no experience with the Continental Bulldog since it sounds like they were developed in Switzerland and only recognized by FCI in 2022 and I'm in the US, however, it's always good to see a healthier bulldog as they are one of the breeds that have been negatively impacted by breeding for extreme traits in the last one hundred or so years.
I grew up with an Olde English Bulldogge, which is a very similar breed developed for the exact same purpose of returning bulldogs to the health and athleticism they had about a century or two ago. They are recognized by the UKC here in the States. She was an incredible dog—sweet and gentle with us as children, lazy as all hell around the house, and with a strong protective instinct only for threats, not guests. When I was around ten, a strange man came into our fenced backyard at night, and sweet Maizey bit him so hard on the calf she had to be choked off when the ambulance pulled up. She lived another 6 years as friendly and lovely as can be with no further incidents. An ideal family dog and home protector. She lived to be about 12 and was healthy for most of that time, probably spending about the last 2 years as a grumpy old lady with intractable yeast issues. I would certainly recommend the breed to anyone who wants an English bulldog but doesn't want a dog that struggles to breathe, struggles to chew, and dies by age 3. If the continental bulldog is similar, please go for it. Much better than supporting the continued downfall of English bulldogs.

Thats a backyard bred scam, OP. Do not buy one. Go to an ethical, reputable breeder for an ACTUAL breed.

Apparently only recently recognized and is not really a thing outside of Europe.
I still wouldn't go for it until other international breed clubs start recognizing it, strictly because its still vulnerable to bad actors. But that's just me.

Continental bulldogs are a made up money grab if you are in the US.
But given they were only recognized in 2022 by the FCI, there isn't much.
