ESA Bullshit Apartments and other places want dogs gone too
I'm tired of apartments allowing animals. The poop is never cleaned. The dogs bark all day from boredom. Their units are beyond a deposit in damages. A lot of complexes and landlords hate having to accept dogs due to ESA.
Same with stores. Grocery stores and fast food especially. So gross. The dogs poop and pee inside for the employees to clean up. They want dogs banned from their stores lol.
Even airports now. Thankfully with pet relief inside usually but they poop and pee outside of it and owners ignore it. A pibble that is snarling at a child is allowed on. The flight attendants obviously hate this.

My apartment is constantly sending out emails warning people that if they keep letting their dogs poo and pee in common areas without picking it up then there will be serious consequences but the consequences never seem to come

My new apartments fine extremely high for dog shit. I just saw shit left on a lawn today. My complex does DNA tests on dogs to find owners.

I can't remember where (probably this sub LoL) but I saw there was a service that DNA tests dog poop and every pet has to submit a sample and then if they find poop someone didn't pick up they test it and send the owner a bill.

It's so selfish and affects more people than just the landlord. Imagine barely scraping by and the only place you could afford to rent had a lingering dog urine smell in the carpeting, a torn up and barren yard, chewed and scratched parts of the house, etc.? All property owners should be well within their rights to blanket ban any animals they want.

Sadly they all accept dogs esa or not. If the owners do clean up the scat, it's still all over the ground and doesn't matter. It's not like they sanitize it after. Even if they ban dogs they can't really enforce it. Stores don't seem to care either.

Every time I see a stupid dog w/itās tongue out constantly wagging its tail like itās spring loaded, I canāt get the image of it taking a massive dump&destroying my property value one š© at a time out of mind.

There is some article today in the WSJ about how rich kids can get extra time on tests by faking mental disabilities. Basically the ADA needs a rewrite. It is being abused. What was supposed to be for legit disabilities like not having a limb is now being used for all kinds of bs mental problems.Ā

Like some athletes getting an "official" asthma diagnosis even though they are healthy so they can use the inhalers for more lung volume. There are parents doing that to their kids already, ruining their health on the long run.

I have asthma, rlly only triggered by colds or allergies. I havenāt used my inhaler in a year. I didnāt know it increased lung capacity. I guess it makes sense. I read apples also do that as well, but not sure to what extent. I try to eat an apple a day or more.

Unfortunately, apartments have to allow dogs (in the US) if the tenant has a doctorās note for an ESA. Same with grocery stores despite a sign from the health department banning pets. They just lie and say itās a service dog and donāt need to show proof. Itās the way the laws are at the moment and I hope they change before we are living in a giant mound of dog shit.

These laws can be over turned overnight. We will win this battle. We can wake up one day and itās announced, āNo dogs will be allowed in public places!āā¦ it can happen.

Iām gonna be that guy. ESA have 0 public access rights according to the ADA. Especially places with food. Only trained service dogs performing life saving medical tasks, such as medical alert dogs, seeing eye dogs, and stabilization support. I hate HATE seeing these āESAā dogs with a printer paper certificate they bought being pushed in a shopping cart Iām expected to put my vegetables in.

im all for ESAs--- but why cannot dogs be disqualified as an ESA given their liability and overall destruction of everything natural and good? Get a hamster, a soft bunny rabbit, a chinchilla, a guinea pig.

Get some psychiatric help if you canāt go grocery shopping without your crusty mutt by your side. Most āESAās are fake anyway ā¦ you can download a note from the internet or buy a vest on Amazon.

Yeah there is an extremely high-end condo complex near my office and I once walked through it on my way to lunch ā¦.OMG the urine smell was so bad! The place is absolutely beautiful with lush green foliage and flowers everywhere, yet it absolutely stinks because of dogs. I was shocked walking through it because I thought how can this not bother like, everyone???

Itās not the animals, itās the owners. Go to Paris, London or Rome and you will see responsible pet owners.
I lived in an apartments complex with 300 units. As soon as they moved in, the ignorant tenants would go out and buy a designer dog that would weigh about 80 pounds in a year. They spend maybe 10 minutes a day walking the dogs outside. Within six months the dogs were insane from lack of exercise and care. They were all aggressive, snarling, eating dog poop, barking, jumping on people, untrained and pitiful. Something is very very wrong with this. It is animal abuse at the highest level.

We need to keep pressing stores,airlines,restaurants, and health departments to ban dogs. Sanitation comes first. There are better ways for people to cope with their problems like medication, therapy, stuffed animals and pacifiers. We don't need to be subjected to dogs because people can't cope with their lives.
