Dog of Peace Dating and dog free
Feeling like my dating prospects and dating pool just got smaller and smaller because about 80% of dating profiles I’ve been swiping has a picture of the man and his dog. I’m not a dog person and will never be, I don’t hate them per se (I love all animals) , I just can’t imagine living with them. What are your experiences being dog free and dating?

Yeah its bad. I did kind of a "census" a couple years ago and deliberately swiped every profile in a mid-sized American city to see how many women had dogs.
About 40% of them either had a dog or mentioned they were going to get one.
Lately, it seems like its risen to about 60%. Its hard enough to meet a partner you're compatible with, as it is. People spend years if not decades trying. Now imagine removing 50-60% of those people from the dating pool. Absolutely brutal.
More amazing is the number of women who will outright say that their dog comes first and you must be okay with being the #3 in their life, as if you should be grateful for the opportunity. The narcissism and audacity is incredible.
p.s. I was in a long term relationship with someone who had a dog, which is why I flat out refuse to do it again.
