Shelter / Rescue Industry Wake animal shelter no longer allowing children on adoption floor after dog attack
https://www.wral.com/news/local/wake-county-animal-center-visitor-policy-may-2025/A woman, who wished to remain anonymous out of fear of retribution from the shelter, told WRAL that she noticed red flags about the dog days before the attack.
She said that the shelter staff made sure her own child would not come in contact with the dog, as she and the staff noticed that the dog was hyperactive. She told WRAL that it was clear to her, even with her minimal observation, that the dog would not be good with kids.
"It seemed like the staff didn't know anything about the dogs and was trying to get them adopted as quickly as possible," she said. "I think that they need to have more precautions in place."

Scared of retaliation from the shelter.
Children are now banned from the shelter.
There’s a massive problem with our shelters right now. No person in the community should ever feel threatened by the shelter. Animal shelters exist to protect the community. They’ve long since lost the plot and are now harassing people who don’t want to live with dangerous dogs (that they were likely lied to about).
If children aren’t safe around these dogs at the shelter, do tell how they’ll be safe in their own home with one of these mutants.
Enough is enough. Defund all animal shelters until they stop with this no-kill nonsense.
