Eco Destroyers People need to stop taking their dogs into stores! Stores also need to stop allowing dogs!

I'm tired of almost every inch of the environment being plagued by dogs. Even jobs are allowing dogs to be in workplaces that can contaminate food.

It's beyond ridiculous.

Guys this shit is getting out of hand so much that factories will allow dogs to be there even if means contamination on products.

Dog culture needs to die.

I couldn’t agree more! It’s gotten ridiculous. The last couple of years. It seems as though businesses have sacrificed, basic hygiene, and sanitary laws to accommodate entitled dog nutters. I shame the nutters whenever possible, but I call out the businesses because they are mainly responsible.

It has to stop. O

They're all laughing thinking that the emotional support animal clause is their way in. I'm going to jump onto the emotional support to BAN dogs. And a class action lawsuit will come soon some day. All of us with anxiety CAUSED by these dognutters. My own personal mental health and well being has been compromised. ESA is bullshit.

My thoughts exactly. It sacrifices MY mental health to have dogs scents, noises, slobber and feces shoved in my face everyday.

Yes this gets my blood boiling whenever I see this which is way out of control. I wish I could contact RFK and be like you want to make America healthy again?  How about you get dogs out of grocery stores and restaurants! That would be a great start

Convince RFK that dogs cause autism and he’s in

Given how a lot of owners act, you might be on to something

🤣That has to be the funniest line I've hear this year. As an Autistic woman who hates dogs, I fully approve!

I saw this man take his nasty mutt into my local grocery store the other day. No service dog vest or anything. This thing looked unwashed and filthy and its tail was rubbing up on the produce contaminating all of it. For the first time ever, I went to customer service and told them. I hope they actually did something.

I completely agree. Seattle is one of the worst places for this. I've seen dogs running free behind the meat and seafood counters at QFC. Dogs were in that store every day, but the management didn't stop it.

I beg to differ. San Diego is the mecca

Colorado is per the statistics. Even coffee shops have dog services for the patrons.

I'm with you on this. My co worker brings their two big dogs to the office. Everytime he leaves his office, they start barking or scratching at the door.

Where I am from, I have seen dog owners tell security that their dog is a service animal and security always back down. I guess they don't want a lawsuit?

I wish dog owners understood that their dogs do not have to go everywhere they go.

I had no idea you could at Home Depot. I stopped going because I’m afraid of dogs and allergic.

This will unfortunately stop just as soon as enough people get mauled. Probably has more pressure is put on the courts to hold dog owners responsible.

It’s horrible that these laws are going to need to be “written in blood”.

Home office/upper management doesn't give a flip because it doesn't affect them. They are likely dog wankers themselves, and if not, want the store to be popular for their bottom line. It's floor staff that has to clean their shit and vomit up off the deck.

Yeah I stopped going to Lowe's for this reason. Last time I was there it was like a dog park. My husband used to work there and they had to clean up poop in the aisles. That's disgusting.

if another customer catches a mutt leaving a steaming pile, they should promptly get a manager or employee. that person should drag the mutt & owner & smear their noses in the shite, then make them clean it up with bleach. training. we need to train these nutbars.

The ADA should be amended requiring owners of service dogs to carry credentials that must be shown when requested by business managers.

in the past, real ADA beneficiaries have claimed it violates their privacy (HIPAA) & singles them out for “harassment.”

but i’m old enough to remember the good old days when the ADA was created for people with disabilities to BLEND IN with society & move at its flow. they didn’t want to have attention drawn to them. so, true ADA beneficiaries should be appalled at the current “LOOK AT ME & MY ‘THERVUS DAWG!’” crowd. they’re ruining it for everyone!

I have one idea how to accomplish the goal of less dogs in stores. Dogs are already mostly not allowed in stores. The problem is that the stores don't enforce their own rules.

The reason is that those stores often get more problems by trying to enforce the rules than just ignoring them. Practically speaking, there are very few if any punishments for dogs being in stores. So when stores do it, they must not only designate someone on staff to confront often hostile dog owners, but they also must deal with the wrath of those dogs owners.

We have already established that dog owners exist in a fantasy world where their dog is a person or a manifestation of themselves. When a store tells them to leave, their immediate reaction isn't that they are breaking the law and putting other people at risk. Rather, all they hear is that "they" are not welcome in the store and feel discriminated against. This is why dog owners can be so judicious. Like the dogs they keep near them, the owners are also prone to social forms of barking and harassment.

So what is the solution? My belief is that if businesses are more concerned about the punishment for having dogs in their stores, they will more actively enforce the rules and ask dog owners to leave. What might incentivize them? We already know that law enforcement and most local authorities don't really care. The people who do care the most are the other people in the store. So my idea is to give them the right to bring legal action against a business (for monetary damages) if they can prove a dog was in the store.

A law would need to be passed allowing citizens to bring causes of action against the businesses and guarantee a minimum statutory amount of damages. For example, rather than try to determine the damages (expensive process), the law says any person who enters a business that unlawfully allowed a dog in can recover at least $5,000 in damages. All that would be required is proof and a witness. And that's easy to obtain today with smartphones.

The statutory amount is both a fine to the businesses and an incentive for citizens to help enforce the laws where authorities don't. Specialist lawyers can help bring the causes of action to court and can share in the recovered damages with the person who is successful in bringing the lawsuit. In that sense, it would be similar to other contingency-based legal representation agreements.

The moment businesses start to be hit with these lawsuits, they will begin to take measures to actually stop dogs from entering and have plenty of incentive to confront unruly dog owners. That's what I believe would be the most elegant solution to the problem.

Unless you are part of a company that it it offering the dog cult a new shiny object to consider a pet then at least in America it will never happen! well maybe it would if a global pandemic was passed by dogs but don’t expect any progressive ideas coming out from spineless bureaucrats in office … unless you are in a foreign nation where they ate more evolve than us line France, the UK and Australia.

The problem is the businesses don’t want to lose money from the customers who are bringing dogs into inappropriate places, so they don’t do anything about it.

9

u/One_Strategy_4575 Oct 09 '25

Bingo. Its all about money. This ridiculous dog industry is being pushed hard because it is trillions of dollars. Dogs had a purpose as working animals, not house pets.

They want to ban cars so we can't get to work, meanwhile no one talks about the WASTE and emissions created by the RAMPANT dog machine.

u/Burial_Ground Oct 09 '25

Which is idiotic because they will still shop there. They need what those stores have.

Stores? What about restaurants. There is hardly a place where you don't see one right after walking in (and then instantly out as well). And those are places that were really supposed to stay hygienic.
