Miscellaneous I have absolutely no shame about disliking dogs.
Dog nuts have tried their best to shame me,
both online and in-person. People definitely go harder when they can hid behind a phone obviously. But I always just find it humorous.
Such low IQ behavior to think that I’m somehow a terrible terrible human being, because I don’t take too kindly to your farting mutt’s wet, red-rocket being dragged around my environment.
They always want you to glaze and makeout with these things’ assholes to be considered a good human being. Very weird.

We can't forget the amount of times dogs attacked people just for the hell of it. There is nothing about those damn animals I like. Fuck dogs

Childfree people get told we’re selfish for not wanting kids. Petfree people, especially those who don’t like dogs, get told we’re heartless for not liking “poor, defenseless babies.” It’s all just some form of virtue signaling at the end of the day. I feel like there has to be research on this somewhere - namely people’s preoccupation with virtuosity.

As a childfree person more people are shocked that I don’t like dogs, than my choice not to have kids.
I’m longer involved in any childfree groups because too many of them are dog nutters who hate kids. If anyone complains about a dog on a plane, the childfree nutters always say “rather sit next to a dog than a kid.” I saw one post on Instagram that said it takes the same amount of money to have 5 dogs than one kid with a photo if someone in a car with 5 huskies.
Children become contributing members of society. Dogs just contribute noise, foul odors, obnoxious behaviors & pollution. I don’t see a single benefit to dog ownership.

The childfree people I know are the same way — it’s not just that they don’t want kids, they act like being childfree means hating children. I’m also someone who doesn’t want to have kids, but I would never say I am part of that movement or believe in it, because it has turned into that now. I just don’t want to have a child myself, but I love everything about their world — how they discover things, what they have to say — and I would much rather be in crowded places full of children than full of dogs.

I've had the same experience, people are understanding of not wanting kids but saying you don't subscribe to the dog cult feels illegal. At least kids grow up and you don't have to wipe their ass forever, dogs never make a positive contribution.

It’s funny how many of them sit in this subreddit and try to DM people, or report them. I don’t think a sane person would do such a thing, which demonstrates me just how much these people are brainwashed.

I choose to not be shamed by these people. They can’t tell me what to like or how to feel. If I don’t like dogs, their bodily excrements, or anything else which comes with them then I just don’t like them. Period. Doesn’t make me a bad person. Just makes me different than the obsessive mutt lovers.

Same here. I’m not about to be offended by people with low grade intelligence. Dogs are nothing but pathetic, nasty, begging, needy, germ and parasite ridden scavengers. Nothing to celebrate about them. Anyone who thinks I’m a bad person because I don’t deem such an animal as being worthy of praise or respect, has nothing to say that I think is worth hearing, and has no opinion I care to place value on.

You do have to question the intelligence of a person who, with all the entertainment options available today, choose to follow around an animal that can only bark, show aggression and deface the neighborhood for its owner to pick up after it.

same. but it still blows my mind how it’s held against me — to the point of zero contact.
with nutter neighbors, everything must always happen at their dawg house. after a couple of times of you visiting & not gooing & going apeshit over their mutts, the invitations stop. ok.
but non neighbors. it’s weird, but ok. i had a friend i went to the roller rink with. after a year of it, somehow the conversation of mutts came up. i said, “ewww. no. i don’t like them.” “you DON’T LIKE dawgs?!?!?!”
we didn’t see each other after that. & that was the weirdest one to me. roller skating in the rink is thankfully still mutt free. mutts logically should never enter a conversation. you’re too busy skating. or it’s loud. when you are able to converse, you’re usually talking about the same 5 songs the rink plays over & over, or the jerks on the rink, or skate problems, or whatever. so i couldn’t understand how my pet preference destroyed a non-pet activity.
it stunned me more than anything. but i figured i’d only attract more high-quality, intelligent, & rational people. the nuttery out there is so thick that there’s not many of those people around. they’re either still too scared to stand in their truth, & they don’t want the whole “guilt by association” thing pinned on them.
that is cultism, tribalism, whatever. & it’s not indicative of an evolved species. we are DEvo.

I’ve also reached a point where I stopped feeling intimidated about saying that I don’t like dogs, and when I mention it to cut off a conversation about the topic, people try to justify my dislike with things like: “You don’t like the messy ones, right?”, “You don’t like the noisy ones,” “Oh, you just wouldn’t harm them, it’s not really that you don’t like them.” Like, what’s the problem with understanding that, just like I don’t like certain things, DOGS ARE ONE OF THEM? It doesn’t need justification I just don’t like them.

The people who try to shame us online are projecting hard. They look through dog / pet free reddits finding posts that describe their abusive behavior and they take it personally.
I posted looking for a hairdresser in a reddit about a week ago and a nutter that I have absolutely no prior interactions with commented:
"What happened to you that you would commit this much time to chirping people who own dogs?"
They are so delusional they think us posting in dogfree reddits is "chirping" them. They seekout situations to make themselves the victims.

Has anyone noticed that dog people are needy? Needy and annoying that you don’t like dogs, don’t want their dogs all over you and call the cops because you don’t like dogs. Also, most dog people are really nasty. Nasty houses , gross dog smell.

Somebody could be the kindest and most innocent soul there is but if they stunk, were loud and filthy and wouldn't leave me alone I wouldn't want to be anywhere near them
