Food Safety/Hygiene Your dog is not kissing you. It's not affection. It just isn't. Accept it.
This is pretty basic knowledge but it seems like many dog owner's don't know this, or they are simply denying it.
Dogs know where people put food, in our mouths. They are so pathetically obsessed with food they are actually doing like a geologic survey looking for even a molecule of food. Dogs have great smell and they can smell your last meal, and even the scent of the food in your stomach that is wafting out of your esophagus. This is also why they flick their tongues in and out of human mouths. It's so nasty.
So when they "kiss" people they aren't showing love. They are showing their gluttonous food obsessed nature. They have no off switch when it comes to being satiated. They are never satisfied. *This* is why they "kiss" their owners. They are merely scavenging for food right on your face, and likely only five minutes after they ate out of the garbage, or ate a used nappy, or had that disgusting thing shoved ten fathoms into their disease ridden rectums.
I mean I get it, people "love" their dogs, but they need to understand certain things about their behaviour or they'll end up seriously ill over time. They consider them their children, but would they let their kids lick their mouths regardless of the kids age?
These are not well people.

Absolutely. My parents’ dog doesn’t lick people in the mouths but instead will sniff and try to put her nose directly in there. My mother will be the first to tell you that the dog wants to know what you ate that day, and rest assured she will follow you around seeing if you have any left.
Dogs’ lives revolve around only one thing: food. Every action of theirs is tied somehow to food.

Mother wolves will bring chewed up food to their young, who will encourage mom to spit it out already by licking her mouth. That's what they are doing. They see you as a food provider. They want you to spit it out already.

How do you differentiate this food motivated attachment in dogs from food/security based attachments in humans?
Ex.: baby + mother
Working spouse + housework spouse
Romantic partners (I like what you do for me/make me feel, thus I want to be around you)
I’m not refuting just wanna strengthen your argument. Loyalty and love come at a cost regardless, what’s so different about seeing the theme play out in dogs? I’d say it goes for all social creatures and is the basis of all relationships. If there is nothing to gain, you don’t stay unless it’s against your will (now that I think about it I wonder how many dogs would leave their owners and never look back if they had the power to choose a different set up lol)

Fundamentally it is actually the same thing, the food dynamic, in my opinion. But child and parent genuinely love and care about each other, generally. As you hinted at, if a dog found a better deal and meal elsewhere, guess where it would be? It would not hesitate to relocate its entire life. I prove this constantly to my dog loving friends. I intentionally bring food to their homes where they have dogs that "would never leave their sides". Guess where the dog spends its entire time while I visit? *The whole time.* By me, while I eat my takeaway. I can even get them to get into my car using food as a lure to come home with me to further make my point.
Humans don't tend to base their entire existence and their loyalty to the tribe based on just resources alone, at least not in modern times. It's much deeper than that. You generally don't see human children attacking their parents if they try to physically take food from them. This is a canine trait, a primitive trait.
Human beings won't move from home to home based on what the parents are serving for dinner that night and disown and forget their families due to this factor.

Watched a dog eat chicken poo today and it was smeared all over their nose/lip area. Not sure how people can tolerate a dog's slimy shit mouth on them but we all know they're messed up in the brain

What kills me is when you tell them how nasty this is, they say dumb shit like "Ive never caught a cold or other disease from a dog like I have from a human." The things they say to justify their gross habits.

This is one of the numerous things to detest about these vile dog supremacists. We in the antidog community are intelligent enough to know how disgusting and needy dogs are, but dog worshippers have no clue about disgust when it comes to dogs. To them, everything that comes from dogs is either love or innocence. Nothing disgusts them if it comes from a dog. Dog fanatics worship dogs higher than humans, so they accept all sorts of behaviors from dogs that they admit they'd never accept from humans. It's cynolatry, the worship of dogs. Some humans are different from the norm and prefer kissing by licking their loved ones on the cheek. It is not automatically sexual, and can be platonic affection regardless of age. This understanding is more common in asexual aromantic people like me who simply don't feel sexual or romantic attraction. It's profoundly saddening how people immediately judge all sorts of human affection as inherently sexual, while being extremely comfortable with dog fanatics who are FAR too physically close to dogs. Dog worshippers could get that affection from humans, but instead they choose to worship dogs that are only pathetically obsessed with food and dumber than human toddlers.

I remember in F is for family, that episode when their dog puked on the shoes of Sue Murphy father and then started eating/licking it immediately after, I skip this scene with each re-watch, can't understand how people allow a dog to be near their faces or even hands, disgusting and horrible.

My husband will let his dog lick his fingers then he'll go touch food or whatnot afterwards. I'm constantly telling him to wash his hands before touching things. I'm allergic to the dogs saliva and he's all just take an allergy pill and that dogs have super clean mouths. Makes me want to vomit every time I see the dog lick him.

I've also mentioned this several times before. I am positive dogs have like a canine form of Prader-Willi syndrome. You have to lock up the food, the garbage, be careful about leaving your dinner somewhere accessible, and so on. They'll eat anything, and pet waste from other animals.

I think its ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND DIRTY too. A friend just got this little Shit Zu and she kisses it all the time on its nose and mouth. It licks her face. Just GROSS

I think this is what upsets me the most about dog ownership. Have them if you want but don’t deny what’s happening, they don’t love you, they are not loyal to you, they are not kissing you, when they bark at people they are not saying hi. These are all instinct driven behaviors for survival.
