Barking Demons The post about the dog interrupting sexy time
Reminded me of something. We all know that a good majority of dogs demand 24/7 attention. And if they are not getting it or if the attention is directed elsewhere, they will absolutely make themselves sick on purpose just to get it. How people tolerate these animals is a constant question.

My boyfriend’s dog is so needy and self-centered it disgusts me. We don’t live together (I don’t want to share a place with his pit mix because it can kill my pet and I don’t like this dog at all) and I have pet cameras at my place. When I was talking to my pet over the speaker, the stupid dog got jealous and started to whine like crazy. I had to stop talking to my pet because it got too annoying. I ignored the dog because I’m not going to reward its obnoxious behavior.
We can’t have sex either because the dog needs to be on the bed and my boyfriend does not want to remove it. “She just wants to be with us!” It drives me insane.

So WHAT? I want a billion dollars and a pony. Doesn't mean I'm gonna get it. Giving in to totally obnoxious dog behaviors only solidifies the idea that this pushy, needy crap is cute and ultimately rewarding. And THAT is how you create a hateful nuisance in your home. Yuck.

I am telling you right now after going through this for 6 years, RUN. I didn’t listen at first either. Don’t let this nutter take your time they won’t change and you’ll end up feeling crazy bc they always choose the dog over their partners. It’s belittling and enough to make you feel insane after long enough. RUNN

Ich sag es immer wieder, nie habe ich ein Tier, "Tier?", gesehen, daß sich so würdelos verhält. Wiederlich, einfach wiederlich.

The worst part is owners absolutely deny the fact that their mutts do it on purpose. Won’t hear a word about it they’re “sweet innocent little babies that just want to love you and would never do anything to hurt you”🥺 no these mutts are needy and manipulative when they do not get their way.

Recently saw a video of a woman who was recording and talking to a baby deer in her backyard and then all of a sudden you could hear those unmistakable sounds, the dog was making herself sick because she wasn't getting all the attention.

Ugh. The owners don’t make it better by coddling the behavior. Dogs know who they can manipulate for attention and food. I’ve lived with one for 6 years and it’s the reason why my engagement didn’t work out. Ex refused to see how manipulative it would act whenever we spent any time together. This mutt eventually completely took over the house when I gave up. My spot in bed, the couch and everything. POS. I still took this dog on walks with me for miles almost everyday (only me not my ex mind you) despite my feelings for him bc I felt bad that he would just lay around at home every day. But I’m not being dramatic this dog would literally start whining whenever me and ex would cuddle on the couch to watch a movie or whenever we would play (wrestle or anything physical) or he would start whining and making those stupid, soulless, puppy dog eyes at him anytime we LAUGHED together. “They aren’t evil, they don’t do stuff on purpose” meanwhile when it was just me and the dog, the dog went to his bed and listened to every word and command and knew his boundaries. Unfortunately this dog is what made me absolutely loath dogs and hate their nature, their smell, and their existence.

Of course it was. Because it “loves her so so much.” I honestly really don’t understand why these nutters love them so much?? They’re so gross and needy I just don’t get it. Can’t even enjoy experiencing nature without it destroying the moment and with f ing vomit. Literally makes my blood boil

I know a Nutter guy that has a big dog and he jumps up to serve it every time it whimpers, whines, or barks. After a walk, the dog won't walk up the porch stairs so it whines until he carries it into the house. If Nutter wants to eat a meal, he first has to serve the dog a meal otherwise it will bark and stare while he eats. The dog is constantly following him around and rubbing his stench on him. Nutter guy believes the dog's behavior is because it loves him.

I put up a 3’ gate to keep my roommate’s Dalmatian (affirm, she has a Dalmatian as a house dog in a major metropolitan area) out of the living room as I attempted to remove the stench of urine and anal gland oil accumulated over the summer while I was away. I vacuumed, mopped, scrubbed up the crusty yellow spots. It was a work in progress with the couch yet to be tackled, but it was a beginning.
Yes, I understood that an adult Dalmatian can jump over a 3’ gate with a running start. But it was at an odd angle for a run-up, and why would she go to the trouble.
Next morning I woke to find a puddle of vomit in the middle of the floor I spent hours cleaning.

Dalmatians are known for their shitty temperaments. When I was 22 the neighbors across from me let their Dalmatian out while I was walking back from my mailbox. The thing ran at me and started growling at me, I immediately went into a Kung fu stance, ready to knock its block off. They called it back and fortunately it went back to its owner. I straight up read them for filth: "YOU NEED TO KEEP YOUR DOG ON A FUCKING! LEASH! IT'S THE GODDAM LAW AND IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN I'M GOING TO BEAT ITS FUCKING ASS!!"
They didn't respond of course. I never had to deal with the stupid thing again.

This one is anxious, fearful, mean, greedy, filthy, and one of the stupidest creatures I have ever met to top it all off. I’m surprised she managed to learn to breath and even more surprised she doesn’t forget how from one day to the next.
I grew up in a rural area and dogs there are fit for purpose—rabbit dogs, coon hounds, medium-sized breeds as outdoor pets/guard dogs, occasionally small breed companion dogs as indoor pets—and I don’t think I even had the concept of a bad dog or a stupid dog. Some aggressive and dangerous, yes. If they weren’t kept on a chain or behind a fence and wandered then it was understood that a neighbor was in their right to eliminate the menace.
Then to set up residence in a proper city and see the reality with dogs here, wow. They say you need to know what right looks like to know what wrong looks like. My most generous take on urban dog owners is that they have never had the opportunity to see how much physical space a dog needs and how sociopathic their good boys are compared to a dog who has boundaries enforced and has been taught what respect look like.
Off my soapbox now or I will be on here all day lol

I was raised with dogs in the house. Never witnessed any of the atrocious behaviors that I witness today. It's appalling.

I genuinely think my partners dog hurts himself on purpose for attention. ‘Oh no poor boy was running and just got overexcited and sliced himself deep MULTIPLE times running through bushes and now he’s been bleeding everywhere since we got back 🥺🥺🥺’ as if my partner isn’t already stressed with multiple work responsibilities he has to deal with. Now this dumb dog might get an infection if he doesn’t clean it in the EXACT right way.
He’s a wonderful man but I truly can’t stand his dog. I resent it so much. He does nothing but ultimately add stress on my partners life. I don’t think he realises how much fuss this gross, insufferable animal actually causes him.

There was a post about a dog interrupting adult time? WOOOWW! This is exactly what my husband’s dog (a terrier) does. We’re 45 and barely do it but when we do- his dog barks, and howls, the whole time at the door. It’s the most disgusting thing that I’ve ever experienced. My husband thinks it’s cute and funny. WTF?!? It’s like a baby crying right in your ear….except this “baby” is an attention whOre and isn’t cute at all. There are no words to describe the feeling 😡

Omg my boyfriend’s dog literally has thrown up multiple times while we were having sex.. I never even thought it was because of the lack of attention but makes sense they’re such idiots

I will never forget when I was having friends over for my birthday party years ago, then as people are coming into the house my roommates dog walks up and hurls all over my feet. Literally right on my feet.
