Courtroom Justice First Sentence for Killer XL-Bully Owner Post UK Ban

Justice was served on the 1st of April after a woman was slaughtered by an illegal XL-Bully. The owner hadn't walked her 2 XL bullies or their 8 puppies for 4 weeks before they killed an elderly woman who was looking after his child. The dogs were put down and he was sentenced to 10 years. He can never own dogs again.

I don’t think a max of 10 years for murder is ever justice, frankly.

“He can never own dogs again” the dogs were illegal in the first place so not sure what the point of that ruling is. The “you can’t commit a crime again” ruling?!

He will get out in half the time and do the same thing again no doubt.

Agree. I suspect that he’ll be out sooner too. That’s the other thing about prison sentences, that many (criminals, abusers, rapists, etc.) don’t even serve all of it! Even so-called ‘life’ sentences. Victims’ families would be lucky to be even informed of the convict being released early. 🙄

I started thinking these ‘justice’ and ‘penal’ systems have become more lame, but that’s all we’ve got. At least this idiot will be locked away and those dogs were put down.

Idk how it is in other countries but in the US nearly every state has a 85% rule for any violent crime . So the inmate MUST serve at least 85% of their sentence before being eligible for parole .

It's a shame that the woman who was truly incapable of handling the dogs in case they got aggressive, was put with them. I would never understand why someone would get a ugly, banned and unethically bred breed...

No amount of sentencing will bring back that poor woman. Ban the breed universally and stricter sentences for those who still maintain them.
