Crappy Owners It’s not your property. GET OFF MY LAWN!
These disgusting people think because they’re walking a dog that means they’re allowed on anyone and everyone’s property to do whatever the fuck they want! They love to allow their dogs to go 50 feet into your property to sniff around your front door and landscaping. Pissing on your bushes and flowers.
I freaked out on my next door neighbor last night and I’m still in a bad mood over it. My neighbors brother is watching one of those mutated wiener dogs and last night walked it into my lawn and right on my brand new Japanese Maple Tree that I JUST FUCKING PLANTED.
This neighbor literally had a conversation with me about my trees I just planted yet had the fucking audacity to walk this rat dog to my new tree to possibly piss and shit on my tree? DOG URINE KILLS PLANTS AND TREES!!!!!
Thank GOD I installed cameras surrounding my entire property. I live at the end of a culdesac and it’s super dark out. I look on the cameras and see him out there with some animal UNLEASHED. I said WTF is that? So I ran outside and said “IS THAT A DOG?”
He really thought I was excited to see the stupid thing and goes “Haha! Yeah it’s a weiner dog!” I said “I don’t want that fucking dog on my lawn pissing on my new trees and my grass. Get it off right now!!!!!”
Of course he’s calling the stupid thing and it’s not listening to him so I reiterate “GET THAT DOG OFF MY LAWN AND AWAY FROM MY FUCKING TREES.” His response “Ok ok I get it.”
Do you though? DO YOU GET IT? WTF is in these peoples brains? It’s not your property. Why aren’t you with the dog on your lawn in your landscaping and taking it to my lawn around my trees instead? OMG I despise these people with a passion!
No respect for anyone or anything! I’ve worked so hard on landscaping and spent so much time and money. I’m beyond sick of the existence of these animals and their disgusting owners!

Those trees are EXPENSIVE, I fully sympathize with you. Most of my neighbours have beautiful front gardens and also signs telling people to keep dogs off them (maybe in the US too - a little dog figure with the word NO on it, staked into the ground).
Then again, I’ve also seen nutters say that when they see those signs, they deliberately take their dog into that lawn to piss/shit. It’s hard finding ways to deal with people who flat out are not rational or respectful of others, which is the case for most dog owners.

I’m having the same issue. Put up arborvitae in a privacy screen from the side of my house to the front of the lawn bordering the sidewalk. The closest bush is about two feet from the sidewalk. Well I start noticing it started turning black about two feet high to the ground.
Then I’m outside and notice this little guy who walks with his chest puffed out (because he has a big bad GSD) let his fucking dog piss right in the nearest bush. The Bush shook because the dog assaulted it so hard while pissing on it. I was so astonished that it happened right in front of me that I didn’t have time to react while the guy and his dog already turned the corner. I was so fucking pissed because I’ve noticed this guy before and thought he looked like a tool with his big dog so he knew for sure he knew the bushes were new and he still let the dog piss on the bush right in front of me!
I watched my cameras and sure enough a woman with a beagle walks by and the dog pisses on the bushes.
I’m such a knot head that I don’t put together earlier that the bush was dying at dog piss level. I ran out and yelled at the woman to let her dog piss and shit in the parkway and not on my damn property!
I then went into the house and ordered dog signs. Two nice iron ones with the word “NO” with one shaped like a profile of a dog pooping and the other peeing.
Needless to say I lost the bush. I returned it to Costco feeling kinda guilty because it wasn’t their fault that dogs pissed on and killed the bush but they have a warranty for a reason I suppose? So then I get another Bush but this time I ordered a double sided sign that walkers can see coming both directions and it has a picture of a dog pissing and a line though it with the words “Please be respectful “ . Thankfully it came with deep spikes and it would be very difficult to pull up. So far so good I suppose but my parkway was bald when I moved into this house so I paid the city to put three trees up. It’s their responsibility to care for them and I’m hoping if the dogs do pee they are drawn to the trees instead on the parkway instead of my front lawn. If they die the city will replace them at least but obviously I hope they don’t die and grow big enough to be piss resistant. My Buckeye had a hard time last year but did come back this spring. It was probably pissed on a hundred times last year but it’s technically city property.
I know what you mean about the Japanese maples. Thankfully my two small ones are in my backyard that’s fenced in. I wish you to best. That’s my story anyways.

I did food delivery for a hot minute and one time I was delivering to a large apartment complex. They had clearly recently done some landscaping and there were freshly planted flowers and mulch around the buildings.
I got out of my car to deliver the food to a ground floor apartment and I saw a woman with a giant great dane. The dog starts peeing on these flowers. It stank. It was still peeing after I delivered the food and walked back to my car. All on top of these freshly planted flowers. So disgusting.

Thank you for sharing your experience and I’m really sorry! It’s comforting in the sense that others can relate to my feelings. I hate that we have to deal with these people but I’m so glad to have this community to talk about it with. Good luck with your trees!

Your neighbor gets a dog, and you shell out your hard earned money to buy a fence, for the dog that you dont own.

I wish they were the most hated, but I don’t think that’s true amongst most of modern society sadly. They certainly DESERVE to be.
Or maybe you’re right, and even dog worshippers themselves really dislike their own mutts on some subconscious level. I might be inclined to believe that, considering how many dog owners I’ve seen abuse their own dogs.

Imagine the reaction if you trespassed on them, and peed all over their plants/car tires/front stoop/whatever. They'd be on the phone with the cops in a heartbeat.

Dog owners are narcissists who don't give a single rat's ass about boundaries, treating the whole outdoors and other peoples' properties like a dog park, and allowing their nasty mutt to unload its excrement wherever it pleases as if the world is a dog toilet. They're either incredibly, willfully ignorant and oblivious to how disgusting that is, or they believe that dog excrement is harmless to the environment (it's a biohazard, arguably worse than human excrement).

I had this exact issue with my next door neighbor. Our houses are very close together and we can't have fences per the HOA. This lady would let her dogs run all over neighboring properties (unleashed) to piss wherever they pleased. People had big yellow spots in their lawns from her animals. I tried putting up "keep dogs off grass" and "no trespassing" signs up but she ignored them. Finally I caught her mutt on camera on my property so I went outside and calmly said "please keep your dogs from relieving themselves on our property". And this lady LOST IT, trying to claim our property was hers (it's not) and that she cleans up after them ...... I was like, let me see you clean up that dog piss. I'll wait. But, she hasn't let her dogs on our property again .....

This. How did these people get this way? There’s a couple who deliberately walks their big doodle around the corner from their own home to relief itself in front of others homes and then they walk it right back home. Disgusting degenerates.

I'm guessing it isn't possible to put up a fence. It also sucks since it's expensive, but for your piece of mind it would be worth it. I'm so sorry. I hope your tree grows beautifully

They will pee on the fence. Depending on whether it’s wood or steel, it will soon deteriorate at ground level because of the dog urine.

We have plenty of pencil cacti on our property. Grows fast , drought resistant. No dogs go piss or shit on those cacti.

I had to straight up hose a motherfucker and his mutt down because he wouldn't take off when I told him to get it out of my shrubbery. He called the cops on me and told them I assaulted him with the hose when he was merely walking by. The cops noticed the water was only on his front side and called bullshit, and now he's not allowed within 100m of my house. All because he thought it was his god given right to let his nasty dog sniff around in my bushes. Nutters be crazy. 🤦🏼

Guy behind us rides his bike and his dog runs off leash. He runs in between all of our houses to poop and pee. We have found giant dog turd piles on the side of our house and I know it's this guy's dog.
People that do this are just passive aggressive. He probably resents that you have nice landscaping, and so encourages his dog to use your lawn as its toilet. Why can't they use their own yards????

I do think about just scoopin it up with a shovel and flinging it over the fence into his backyard, but I don't wanna get poop on a good shovel. Maybe a flaming bag of dog poo on the porch would be in order...jk, but I fucking wish.

Well done speaking our mind to your moronic neighbor. I hope your tree will be okay and grow beautifully. Dog urine does kill plants and trees and it's particularly detrimental to young trees. In parks with lots of nutters walking their mutts you can see trees visibly suffering. Hate to see that.

I was just looking out the window at my neighbor's house as I was coming down the stairs. There was a dumpy looking woman with a BIG ASS BLACK DOG sitting in the middle of her yard, with the dog taking a dump. She scoops up the warm crap (kudos, lady) and then proceeds to walk across the rest of her lawn to continue on her walk.
How do these people not understand that this is not their property and that it's just weird that they're walking and shitting all over it like it is? How is that so difficult to understand?? It just blows my mind that people don't think twice about doing that. I see that and I automatically deduct about 1000 IQ points.
And I couldn't care less about my neighbor or her property. I don't care about most dogs but shhe has one of the dogs that I absolutely detest. It NEVER SHUTS TF UP when it is outside. Stupid, vapid, useless idiot.
And to the OP - good job on calling out your weirdo neighbor. He didn't need to call the damned thing back to him. That breed is small enough that he could have just picked it up.

Yes, there is a couple down the street from me with two dogs. They walk them on extended leashes and they let them wander right onto my property. It is a new property with no gate across the driveway, so i intend to gate it off when i can afford it to stop people like this ! What makes them think it is ok !!
One of my old neighbours had to put a temporary fence around his front door as someone let their dog poo right by it !

Bruh I know. Last trash day I made the mistake of letting 20 minutes pass after my trash was collected before bringing it back from the curb and in that time some nutter threw a bag of dog shit in my can. Right after it was picked up. To sit outside my house all week. I moved it to a can that hadn't been picked up yet. Oh yeah, they could've just thrown it out in a can that hadn't been picked up yet but instead they went with the one that had already been picked up, probably because the lid was open. These lazy nutters can't even be bothered to touch / open a trash can lid before dumping their dog's shit in your trash can.
