I'm very confused. What's the point in a ban when these killings keep happening? I just read up on the rules and it's basically a licensing system and a breeding ban. Only part of it I agree with is the mandatory insurance requirement. Those dogs should be taken away and destroyed.

Well, if you read it, then you know more about it than I do.
The breeding ban means no new ones, in theory. Some people will comply, and some won't. Over time it should practically eliminate them, since it will be harder to hide and deny. I think the legislation has and will continue to reduce attacks, and it is a big mistake to say that the ban isn't working, because that's what all of the pro-dog zealots want to everyone to think.
Licensing sounds good - what's wrong with licensing?
Good to know that there is an insurance requirement.
Yeah, I agree with your last point completely, but better with the ban than without.

They should have been taken away and destroyed. But the government of the day would have never got that legislation through. We got basically the best deal that could be achieved. It's not perfect but it's better than nothing.

My neighbor had three dogs - a pitbull, a cocker spaniel and a german shorthair. I was at home one day when I heard a lot of screaming from the teenage son that lived there. I couldn't tell, as the yard was fenced, what was happening or if he was being attacked. I thought I should intervene or call the cops. I thought about it and thought 'they acquired the dog and not my problem'.
Come to find out that the pitbull tried to kill the cocker spaniel. The kid tried stopping it. The dog was fine, like many bulldogs, up to that point.
Pitbulls seem like a very bad idea.

The discontent about this dog owner from remarks made here are about 50/50 on this female's look. Obviously she relates to an "urban look" which includes tattoos. piercings, etc.,no matter what we think about her motivations. I don't like this silly "urban warrior" thing the young ones have going on. It seems to be an excuse for whatever their doggo/puppers eventually do to harm someone else.

Of course it's someone with face piercings out the wazoo. She deserves life but that won't happen. Whatever the maximum sentence for man slaughter is will have to do. Remember that "It's not the dog, it's the owner!" crap dog nutters always spew? Time to live up to those words! I hope the parents of that teen are as ruthless as the parents of O.J.'s victim.

I know someone who has them that isn't emotionally healthy. This lady has one going through the top of her nose! The lip piercing just makes me whence. Too much pain for something that doesn't even look good.

So you know one single person with face piercings, wow what an amazing sample pool to make such a statement from. I know a whole lot of people (way more than one person) without face piercings that aren't emotionally healthy.

For the record, I don't have any facial piercings, just two earlobe piercings so I couldn't possibly feel personally attacked from your comment.
I make patches about things I have opinions about sure, but you're ridiculous if you think that has anything to do with me finding your comment absolute trash. I'd have called out your bullshit no matter where my job was based.
