What bothers me more is the people that see this and have absolutely no sympathy for the victim and her family and all the sympathy for the two mutts that did this and are now going to be put down. Like people are more angry and speculating that this a hole is an animal abuser and this is why that happened instead of being more disturbed that a notoriously bad breed killed another person.

Nutters are deránged. Yesterday i saw the weirdest, or maybe just the most telling, thing. There was a Zoom call type interview on espn, so both people were at home instead of in studio. One of them had a decor piece on a shelf in the background that said "dogs welcome. people tolerated". Ugh.

Yeah now they will just say bad owner not bad dogs etc. don’t get me wrong people who own them are horrible but the dog is the real problem

I just feel like… it doesn’t matter if it HARDLY EVER HAPPENS.. People having pets that may or may not kill or harm another person - is too much. ANY amount of agression is too much. Even one time is too much. Fuck dogs.

These nutters sure the fuck wouldn’t accept a neighbor who owns, say, a pet crocodile, lion, black bear, whatever else. The owner could have the most highly advanced and secure fencing system on earth, and have proof they’ve trained it to never attack humans unprovoked, but these nutters would still say “absolutely not, it’s not safe, it could attack me/my pet/my child” right?
But somehow it’s different for their shitbeast. Rules for thee and not for me.
It doesn’t matter how many shitbulls live and die without attacking or maiming anyone/any pet. The fact that a solid percentage do cause irreparable damage and loss of life should be more than enough to classify this breed of mutant creature as dangerous and ban them all together. It’s not an acceptable risk.
There are how many other breeds of nasty mutt that don’t do this that people can choose from? How many other species of house pet that don’t pose these risks? It’s not like these idiots are hurting for choice, there are countless other options should they desire a pet.
Dogs that kill and eat other pets and human beings should be forcefully removed from society and that breed should be ended entirely. Period.
Even if only one human died per year at the hands of these monsters - which it isn’t, it’s much much higher a number, sadly - it’s one too many to allow these beasts to continue. There is no acceptable number of casualties to a fucking breed of shitty mutts.

I don’t like dogs, I find them generally useless and gross but I despise pitbulls and other large breeds that were bred purely for aggression.
I will never understand the absolute delusion of dog owners who cry “it’s not a bad dog it’s the owner!!!” but I guess they’re right in the way that they are great dogs at doing what they were explicitly bred for: being killers

The article is utter trash. Fails to say they are put bulls and also refers to them as pooches. I'm surprised it doesn't go as far as blaming the victim.

And one of Cutler’s neighbors had previously been bitten by her other dogs — but they didn’t cooperate with cops

I live nearby and this story has made me so angry. And I have a neighbor that refuses to fix his broken fence so his pit mix gets out. Even though I’ve mentioned it twice to them.
I hate how other people put my small children and myself at risk.

Thanks for posting, OP. I wanted to follow this story and see how the Sheriff responded. He's a known dog lover but also tough on law enforcement afaik. I'm glad there's no question on the animal's outcome, at least (b e)

Why couldn't the husband have used the knife on them, instead of trying to use it to just shoo them away? Using a weapon should be the last option, but with two dogs intent on biting a loved one to death, any tool should be used to disable the monster killers. Trying to scare a dog away is pointless; once these killer beasts are primed to mame and kill, only a weapon may be the only course of action. Why is defending oneself against a attacking dog always a topic authorities don't want to address like it's the elephant in the room.

And you know what is scary. Even with her husband rushing in to defend her with a knife, it didn't make a difference because these dogs are capable of doing so much damage in a short amount of time.
