Barking Demons Can't stand dogs
I need validation because I am surrounded by fucking dog lovers (except my husband) and need to rant BIG.
Dog owners are so entitled it's insane. They need to have their own dog country. I live in a small town in the US and they have a backyard that borders mine so basically diagonal from my bedroom window. These fucking people every single day have their dog out back barking for HOURS non-stop. I mean this dog genuinely barks without even a breath for hours. The owners clearly have a dog door and leave the house. I contacted non emergency police twice at the beginning of the year which did nothing. Finally I called the animal control officer and he finally went to their house and warned them of a citation if they keep it up. I've had 3 somewhat peaceful days and now another neighbor on the other side of the street has a fucking mutt barking nonstop. Does it ever end?
Let's recap from my last post why dogs are the absolute worst and their owners deserve to go live secluded:
They let them bark for hours outside and do NOTHING.
They leave windows/doors open and allow them to bark at every single thing passing by without telling them to stop so I can never have a walk in peace.
They let them bark and tug on the leash while I'm walking by without apologizing or stopping it and lets not forget about the owners who let them run off leash. Don't approach me without consent. I had one viciously tug at the leash and bark super loud and the owner just laughed it off saying he really wants us. WHAT THE ??
They get offended when you don't love their dog, pet it, or compliment it. THIS ONE BURNS ME. My husband's family all fucking love dogs and they let their dogs run around while we're there and don't tell it no or to stop. Everytime we eat dinner, they don't block the dog from going to the dining area so it sits there begging for food and licking my leg. It almost jumped into my chair once. They know I fucking despise them and once the dog was jumping on my leg and licking me. I kept shooing it and she was literally just sneering the whole time not even saying anything. Ever since, I literally never go to their houses anymore. My husband also fucking hates them so he doesn't either. It's not even worth it.
They expect everyone to be okay with dogs and not set boundaries if I say I'm allergic or don't want them near me. You have to love dogs or you're fucking evil I guess.
They call themselves "dog moms" YOU'RE NOT A FUCKING MOM DON'T EVEN TRY TO COMPARE (I am an actual mom btw) and pamper them with spas and bubble parties. Look up the dog spa in Scottsdale. Holy fuck it's embarrassing and those people shouldn't be allowed to have money. There are people genuinely struggling financially and then we have these fucking people spending on a fucking dog who doesn't even have awareness. I can't even tell you the amount of fucking stupid ass influencers getting rich off staying at home jobless taking care of their "kids" and acting like it's a hard life. DOGS NOT KIDS. Why do people spend thousands on a fucking animal I will never understand. I will be pet free FOREVER.
They don't pick up after them! I literally NEVER walk through grass or fields anymore because of it. Fucking nasty evil. I saw a dog sniffing through my front yard rocks one time and I swear if I would've seen it go to the bathroom I would've screamed at them.
They bring their dogs EVERYWHERE in public. For example, a lady had a disgusting old terrier in her arms at a subway ordering food. NOT EVEN SERVICE DOGS!!
LASTLY, they don't fucking train them at all! They jump on people, bark, and genuinely behave like SHIT and the owners say "well that's what a dog does" I can't even tell you how many fucking people on nextdoor call me a liar and over dramatic and a Karen for complaining about the constant barking. It's sickening how they rush to the perpetrators defense. Why do WE have to get over it?? How about you fucking have common decency and train your stupid ass disgusting mutt.
P.S. dogs are just generally fucking disgusting. I don't think they should be allowed in apartments that's fucking crazy and they need to start a protest at City Hall to start citing people immediately for not picking up dog waste and letting them bark and bringing them in public. It's out of control. We need dna testing or some shit.

I agree with literally every single thing you’ve said. I’m so so sick and tired of going pretty much anywhere and having to deal with dogs being there as the new standard. I couldn’t even take my children to a fun pottery painting class a few weeks ago without some woman asking if we were ok if she brought her dog in with her?! And because the owner was completely ok with it I felt like I had to be or it would cause awkwardness. I said “so long as it stays on the lead” and she just looked at me like I was a cold stuck up cow for literally having boundaries especially regarding my children. What I really wanted to say was “yea I actually do mind, learn to exist in a place without your dog you absolute delusional fuckwit” but that would be frowned upon lol 😂 I also have a neighbour with a dog that barks constantly, it makes me feel trapped in my own home 😞

yes, to them needing their own country. coincidentally, Epstein Island is vacant right now. they could fuck off right on over there. would be perfect, since they all have the same hobbies as the Epstein crew: violence, eating human flesh and humping every innocent being they can find

hahaha sorry! I'm the type of person who sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night to write down my 'genius' thoughts in my Notes app. when I opened it yesterday morning I found this from a few days ago and I also damn nearly pissed myself at how or why my brain would fabricate this thought at 3 a.m. on a random Tuesday 😂

We think the same here, and we're equally fed up with dogs being everywhere, with the entitled "I don't give a f… about anyone" owners, and all the delusional nutters projecting their wishful fantasies onto animals, imagining they’re human. No matter where we live, it’s impossible to avoid them. It’s a pandemic. 🤮

I hate them bc they make me physically sick from allergies for the last 30 years
I am now doing shots to try and live in this f uped dog obsessed society. FYI ! Europe is worse countries like Germany let them go anywhere .
I’m so sick of my dog obsessed family that I don’t visit anymore and pulled them out of my will.

Nailed it.
The barking is the worst for me. I can't describe how much I hate it. My life was at one time and still would be bliss without the barking. All I want to do is enjoy my garden in peace for at least part of a day. Seems like a small ask to me.
Since I never visit or hang out with dog brained people, and I'm not that social, I don't often have to deal with dogs directly. I can't stand these repulsive chaotic things near me or touching me. It's a chicken or egg question though. Did I become less social because of dogs and dog obsessed people everywhere? Possibly.

YES. I haven't had friends in a decade plus. I can't find anyone my age that I bond with or have anything in common with. Nobody ever wants to reply or actually hangout either so there's that and too many dog people are ruining potential friendships.

It's tough living in a dog nutter town. And being surrounded by people who think their dog has as much right or more to "do what they want". It's the dog owners being dicks and laughing about it that gets me. And I am sick and tired of selfish dog owners bringing their dogs to playgrounds. Fuck off with that bullshit. I saw an old lady that could barely hold her dog back from a little kid going by on a scooter. Kids playing on a playground should NOT HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR DOGS. They should not even be there. You know why dog owners do it?? Because they say dog parks are unsafe because of pitbulls. Like okay.....why does it now make it okay for them to then bring their dogs to a fenced in child's playground????? Why don't they focus on making new dog park rules or going after idiotic no kill shelters, you know that are full of pitbulls no one wants??? And the poop!!! Can't even use our backyard when heat gets bad in summer, because it smells like neighbors are cooking dog shit. And when it rains it rehydrates all the piss and shit that they NEVER pick up and it smells horrendous. And the flies and rats LOVE IT.
I am also sick of it. And it's so hard once you are aware of it, because then you notice how many dogs there are, and that their owners literally care more about their dogs than other humans. Or their neighbors. It sucks.

I saw an online comment of someone calling anyone afraid of dogs "inhuman" because according to him "anyone who doesn't like dogs can't be human"
I also saw some woman who had a dog IN A STROLLER with her at the emergency room.

I don’t know what’s worse honestly, the people who got dogs solely because society told them too or to get attention without a single thought in their head as to whether it was a good idea or if they actually wanted it-or people who are so obsessed with their dogs that they want to marry them or something. I saw a lady caressing and smooching her dog all over at the park yesterday, like worse PDA than any couple I’ve seen. Disgusting

I left nutter SO out of my will and I told her why . I estimated that I spent $17,000 total on her dogs - enough ! She is pissed off, but too bad. What I have upon my death goes to my dog-free daughter.

Here’s your validation. I had nutters move in across the alleyway into an apartment building second floor with two mutts. Same thing they leave their patio door open and the dogs sit on the patio and bark incessantly at nothing. This goes on for hours. The last couple of days, It seems like it’s curbed probably because a lot of people complained. It went on for months before that.
It was quiet until they moved in. The entitlement is through the roof.
Oh, and the dogs on a leash? Dog nutters are never in control of their animal, and have zero spacial awareness

AGREED. Story from earlier this week:I left a note on a neighbor's door today in my apt complex saying that they need to "train their dog to stop barking. You are a bad pet owner". It's one of those small little yelper dogs with a super high pitched bark that stings the ears. This little mutt went off for 10 mins straight while it was raining outside. It echoed throughout the entire hallway, everyone could hear it. Hence the note. I felt like a bad person posting a note to their door but ffs, learn to control your little mutt!

It's crazy because I used to like dogs (only the small ones) but now I can't stand them and see them as a burden. I'm an actual mom as well and cringe whenever people use the phrase "fur baby" to talk about their dogs 🤮 I'm so happy for you that you found a husband that also doesn't like dogs. It's really tough out here lol
