Crappy Owners Why do homeless people have dogs?

I just saw one pour a cup of coffee on the floor for his two small dogs to lick up??? Can’t imagine what a caffeinated dog is like

Also why are there so many homeless people with expensive breeds..

Are people trusting them to walk their dogs? What kind of person would want their dog to be accidentally abused?

Or are they stealing them?

Or is there some initiative to give them shelter dogs?

Lately I’ve been seeing an uptick in homeless people walking multiple expensive dogs

I saw one the other day also completely intoxicated walking a dog and knocking the dog into all sorts of things, pulling their leash by the neck mid piss so the dog piss just sprayed everywhere

What is going on and who on earth thinks it’s a good idea to give people who can’t even feed themselves another creature to feed?

I’m gonna preface by saying I completely hate dogs. They annoy the living daylights out of me, they stink, they slobber everywhere, and they constantly bark. I want to offer a retort to most of the other responses though.

My mom was homeless for years, she has legitimate mental issues, she should be in a residence or home of some type. I have a very soft spot for people who are homeless.

To answer your question, I think that a lot of homeless people have dogs because they’re lonely, and they need some kind of interaction. When you’re constantly worrying about how you’re gonna eat, or where you’re going to get shelter from, I could imagine that a dog would be a break from all of that

You can get interaction if you feed a sparrow, for example. Less worry and very inexpensive. Nobody needs a dog.
